The ultimate test for a documentary about cricket is if it works for someone who doesn't like cricket. And some leading reviewers have said it does. That’s interesting because I love cricket, and like this documentary.

The period this is talking about, 2009-13, is when I started to really love test cricket. It’s hands down the best form of the game. So naturally, being able to go - ‘I remember him!’ - to all the talking heads on screen has a certain pleasure in itself. And just seeing all the footage of old test matches, showing how great the game is and it being able in this context to drum up enthusiasm for the format is commendable. But, that’s all the cricket stuff. What about the film?
