there is something about LPS that just make them like. the perfect toy imo. I'm biased because I grew up with them and they were the only thing I was fixated on/interested in playing with for the first decade or so of my life but even now as an adult I find them so charming. The matte-ish finish, the colorful teals, yellows, greens and pink paints (for the colorful pets I could go onto a whole separate tangent on how beautifully made the neutral/natural colored pets are!) the expressiveness of each and every pet from the spaniels to the lizards to the hamsters. I really love and appreciate how they give the same attention to "cuter" animals (lambs, puppies, cats, bunnies) as they do to the fishes, snails, dragonflies, butterflies, snakes, and spiders. As I get older my favorite types of pet have largely been moved to the LPS snails, seahorses, butterflies, penguins, the colors and patterns I think they're just so wonderfully made, the scale is ideal for play and carrying around a friend-the accessories are detailed and so charmingly lps (lemonade in a dog bowl!? sunglasses with flower rims, etc) I just have a great affection for them :)
