Random Revice fandom question; How popular is the HanaSaku ship in Japan?
im not exactly tuned into what the japanese fan consensus is but i did unfortunately find a 1k+ twitter thread of fans complaining about how hanasaku was "forced yuri" and akaishi/daiji was where it's at, so. bad toku twitter takes are universal i suppose

Y’know I actually have never been clear on what Tokusatsu is! I’ve had the vague impression it’s live-action stuff like Kamen Rider but I don’t know if that’s true. I’ve been curious, though, so I’d be happy to hear of some!
This whole flipping twist of George being evil has really soured my feelings of Revice over all now, like they're making stuff up as go along at this point
Which is also baffling to me as well, because in the first half it kinda felt they were generally building things up?
Not saying that the first half had it's own problems, but they certainly weren't as prevalent
It's just ever since Giff broke out, it just feels like somebody at Toei told the writing staff to totally scrap whatever plan they did had for something else entirely and they have been fumbling ever since by trying to figure out a new plot

Hm... Well, I guess I never really let go of my suspicions of George, which is why I kinda saw this coming from the get-go? So his current developments isn't really taking anything away from my enjoyment of the show.
It does feel like this back half of the show was a bit messy, pacing wise. Like... how many Riders did we go through in the last arc of episodes alone? Half a dozen, maybe? How many "shocking reveals" did we get?
Idk, it does feel like they got a bit frantic. Maybe executive meddling is to blame, but we haven't really heard anything about that from Hanta Kinoshita, who's previously been open about his problems on the show (e.g. being laughed at when he suggested making the Main Rider a female).

I think the one you’re thinking of is the Mantle of Efrideet, yeah?
It could only be earned in IB Season 1, and then a reprised version came around in Season 7.
Though they said that next season’s IB set is a reprised version and the Mantle of Efrideet is in the database as being able to take Y3 mods SO WE’LL SEE if it comes back again.
