At first he doesn’t react

Then he slowly leans back into you and starts whispering about how he’s alive and isn’t going anywhere

He grabs your hand and holds it to his heart 

“See? My heart is still beating.”

He kisses your hand and pulls you into a hug and starts crying into your shoulder

He’s not very phased by almost dying anymore

And he’s not sure why you’re crying at the beginning

Then he thinks your hurt to and tries to find out what happened

When you explain what’s wrong he doesn’t say anything he just looks at you

He grabs your face and looks you directly in the eyes and promises he’ll always be there. 

He smiles softly before giving a small kiss and just hugging you

He’s talking to you softly while you patch him up, telling you about what happened and thanking you for helping him

When you start crying he immediately stops talking and looks at you, waiting for you to tell him whats wrong

When you do tell him he has a moment of shock, he’s still not used to people caring about him

He holds you close and covers your face in kisses

He reminds you that he’s alive, and that nothings been able to kill him yet

He tries not to cry but he can’t really help it, and so he just smiles at you while he cries

“Darling I’ll be here as long as you want me”

Mod McCree here. I decided to share a story from my early Mercy days.

So, I had just started trying to be a better Mercy, and I was trying to get better rez performance. I wanted to do “quality over quantity”. Well... it didn’t really work out. It was Route 66 and we had almost totally wiped the other time; we were at the first check point, so I did a throw away celebratory rez. Yeah, I know. Don’t do that. Anyways, I rezzed our Pharah. That was it. She was the only one who died, so I didn’t mind.

Now we are getting beat. We’re halfway to the second point, and they are whooping us, hard. I fly in for a 2 person rez and put all my hopes into it, and... no. I got 1 person. It was the Pharah. She thanked me, and actually got a kill. It didn’t really go well though.

We manage to push to the third point. At this point, I’ve only rezzed this Pharah. Part of me feels terrible, part of me just thinks it’s hilarious.
