I have been SO happy with the interest in the event, the chatter around the prompts, the submissions and creativity.

I've also heard that for some people, it's their first event! Welcome! I wanted to take the time to share some tricks and tips for the newcomers (and for anyone else!) especially since this event runs for 13 weeks, particularly for masterlists!

I am sharing a simple template for the event in both Excel and Word. You can "Make a Copy" under File options to edit them however you want 💕

The main point of masterlists is to keep your event fics together in one place, and I've found them useful for myself in making my masterpost at the end of the event, helping me organize my thoughts, etc.

We will not be opening up communications/facilitating conversation between authors, as we truly believe that there will never be two pieces of work that are the same, regardless of whether or not they are the same idea.

We want you to write the story that you want to write, not to be influenced by any outside factors. Pretend the other claim doesn't exist.

Also, depending on the level/type of collaboration your artist put down on their slide, they may be open to working with you on your brainstorming or at least give you a thumb's up. If the artist feels like the ideas are really, really similar, they can give you some feedback. But, please respect your artists - do not badger them, do not ask them about the other person's work, etc.

If you do have any further concerns about this, please reach out to a mod (or me specifically) so that I can brainstorm a solution with you

That is absolutely allowed!! Unless the event specifically says otherwise, the events centred around just Bucky are open to any and all pairings from any and all universes, not even specifically Marvel! You could have Bucky x Superman, for example. This also includes Bucky x Bucky, Bucky x Reader, Bucky x Sebastian Stan, you name it!

Hot Bucky Summer and Bucky's Birthday Bash are both open like this.

An example of an event that is locked to a pairing would be our ShrinkyClinks Bang, which is dedicated to Bucky x Steve specifically (although you could make it an ot3, an ot4, a massive delicious orgy, etc. so long as Bucky and Steve are at the forefront of your work).

If you have completed one fill, you do not necessarily need a masterpost.

Essentially, what I aim to do is to reblog the submissions as they come in during the event. When you submit your work during the event, you will use the submission form to tell us the title, pairing, etc. Then, at the end, I would like to make one masterpost of masterposts. This will act as sort of an event summary. When you submit your masterpost, you will just need to write "masterpost".

So, if you complete one fill, and come August 31st, that is the only fill you're submitting, you can just submit that same link again, but label it a masterpost as it is effectively the same thing.
