#mockingjay dvd

I have always count down to the release of the Hunger Games DVDs. I preordered from Target every time and watched them the very first day they came out. In fact, with The Hunger Games, my pre-ordered copy was late with arriving so at midnight of the release I rented from Redbox. The Hunger Games movies have been my life so each time has been like a spiritual experience for me.

Well, this time I was stupid.

For Christmas, I got $20 dollars that I said I was going to use for the DVD. Well, that was before the Paramore concert happened. You see, as a graduation present, my mom got me two pit tickets for their upcoming tour. We split the cost, but it was still a lot to pay for no occasion. So yup, there went my $20 plus some. My mom went through a lot to get me those tickets, so I did not want to ask her about the DVD. I felt greedy and shameful and ugh. So I didn't. I dropped subtle hints, but she just said we'd exchange DVDs at the store when we had the chance.

Well then I'm super bummed because the release was yesterday and everyone was sharing pictures and talking about watching the movie. I finally bring it up last night, about me not wanting to ask... and my mom says that I should've. That she would have gotten it. That she had store credit she could've used. That she would not have been angry-- in fact, she was more angry that I didn't ask. Then I was angry with myself and I felt like blah because I hate regret. I mean, I probably would've still felt terrible about asking, but she wouldn't have.
