You wake up to the softest, coziest bed you’ve ever been in. The pillows are plush, the air smells nice, the room is just ridiculously cozy after all.

You stretch out, yawning, then you pause when you feel something cold wrapped around your wrists.

You look down.

Yeah, you’re definitely cuffed to the bed.

You stare at the chain for a moment, tilting your head, and instead of freaking out like any normal person would, you just.. Shrug.

“Hmmmm.. Good morning!” You chirp, stretching your legs beneath the blanket. “Woww.. This is nice. Fancy room? Top tier comfort? What, did I win a prize?”

A deep sigh is heard from the corner of the room.

You look over, and oh-

Shadow is standing there, his arms crossed as he’s just.. Watching you.

When you meet his gaze, a soft smirk peeks at the corner of his lips.

“Ohhh I get it now!” You giggle, tail flicking behind you. “I was kidnapped! Wow, that took me a second-“

“It’s not kidnapping.”

Shadow cut you off, crossing his arms.

“It’s securing our future together.”

“Sooo.. Totally kidnapping?”

His eye twitches.

But instead of getting frustrated, he just exhales and nods, stepping forward towards the bed.

“Fine. If that’s what you want to call it.”

You beam. “Oooh! So you admit it! Cool, cool.. Sooo what’s next? Ooh, do I get breakfast in bed? Do captives get a menu??”

He leans down at the edge of the bed, pressing his hands against it.

“You don’t need a menu.”

He smirked slyly.

“I already know all your favorites.”

Your ears perk up. “Oh! Perks of being stolen by a stalker!”

He chuckles softly.. Actually chuckles. He should be annoyed by your lightheartedness, but this..

This is exactly why he chose you.

You’re perfect.

“Hmph.. If I knew you’d take this so well..” He slowly moved to the side of the bed to get closer to you, tracing his finger along the sheets. “I would’ve done this alot sooner.”

You giggle. “Wowww guess you really lucked out, huh? Kidnapping someone who actually appreciates good interior design!”

“Yes.”

Yes.

This is exactly how he always imagined it.

The fastest thing alive is dating someone who moves and talks way more slowly like Flash from Zootopia but still has a sharp sense of humor and witty responses that rivals his. They always cling onto Sonic which he absolutely loves since he’s the kind of boyfriend who loves any kind of physical contact with his s/o.

He runs around on his usual laps while his sloth s/o clings onto him and enjoys the ride. They always tell Sonic to not hold back and go as fast as he wants. They love the thrill of the ride and the feeling of the wind breezing past their fur.

Other times Sonic likes going slow with you, like simply lounging around on the grassy fields next to each other. You both always cuddle together before falling asleep under the sun.

Sonic: “Hey babe, wanna head over to the chao garden?”

You: “No…..”

Sonic: “?”

That’s right, it’s me. I’m fucking cringe.

Anyway, I wanted to share some of my own headcanons for a Yandere Shadow. I’ve seen so many cool ones but nothing that’s unhinged enough for me. (I’m sorry, I like them crazies.)

(Reader is assumed to be a Mobian.)

First things first: as soon as Shadow meets you for the first time he’s obsessed with you. Either because you act similarly to Maria or because of other factors, he’s head over heels.

He’s the type to watch you through your windows at night, Scream movie style (love Matthew Lillard). He excuses this to himself as “just protecting you from possible break-ins,” but we all know it’s because this boy is down bad.

Sometimes he’ll call your phone while outside, just so he can see your facial expressions as the two of you talk.

Weeks go by like this without you even knowing he’s even out there. To be fair, he’s practically invisible thanks to his fur (quill?) color.

You get so used to talking to Shadow on the phone so much that you don’t even notice when he’s entered your home, either through an unlocked window or door. He might even just chaos control his way inside.

He mostly just watches you sleep, might even caress your fur, hair, or quills as he thinks to himself: “Mine.”

It might even get to the point where he climbs into your bed and listens to your breathing as he cuddles you, all while you’re none the wiser. (Too much? Haha.)

Strangely enough, you tend to wake up more refreshed than usual on those nights that he does. You also have strange dreams, which is not helping the already-developing crush that you’re having towards Shadow. (But we all know those aren’t just “strange dreams.”)

Even though Shadow is a brick wall when it comes to expressing his emotions, his teammates (specifically Rouge) notice his odd behavior. And, it isn’t long until they call him out on it.

Description: After you’d been freed from Black Doom’s corruption, you haven’t been the same. You barely eat, you hardly sleep–why, it’s as if you’re a shell of your former self.

Notes: YESSS I WANTED AN EXCUSE FOR A SEQUEL!!! This request gave me the perfect excuse for a 2nd part to “Where it Hurts Most,” so I hope you enjoy it anon!

“I WILL BE BACK, SHADOW. MARK MY WORDS!-”

Shadow cuts Black Doom off by spindashing right through him, shaking the excess Doom Energy off of his form. In front of him lies you, freed from Black Doom’s corruption, unconscious in the white space where everyone currently resided.

He quickly rushes over to you, checking your pulse before letting out a sigh of relief.

You were alive.

“Shadow! Is [Name] okay?!” Rouge asks, flying over.

“They’re alive.”

“Oh thank Gaia,” she mutters, putting a hand over her heart. “I was worried they were a goner…”

“[Name] is strong. I just wish I could have prevented this in the first place.”

“It’s not your fault, hun. You said this is the first time Black Doom’s ever done this to a non-Black Arms, right?”

“Yes, but-”

“Then cut it out. There was no way either of us could have predicted this.”

“I guess you’re right.”

Both of their ears perk up as they hear you let out a groan, with you lifting your head up off of the ground.

“[Name]!” they both exclaim.

In a flash, Rouge is on your left and Shadow is on your right, helping you stand.

“How are you feeling, hun? You doin’ okay?” Rouge asks.

Her breath suddenly hitches as she sees your face, her ears drooping.

Your irises are now pitch black, with no shine in them, and a frown is on your face.

An apathetic frown.

“‘m fine,” you mutter.

“Do you…want to talk about it?”

You shrug. “Not really.”

“…Stay there for a moment, hun. I’m gonna chat with Shadow, okay?”

Another careless shrug.

Rouge pulls Shadow to the side, both of their backs facing you as you take a seat on the ground.

“Shadow, what the hell happened to them?”

“You think I know?!”

Rouge lets out a sigh. “Do you at least know what could have caused this?”

“Something must have happened when I freed them from Black Doom’s corruption.”

“Surely there would be something in the professor’s notes?”

“…We’ll have to check after we’re done here if they’re not back to normal by the end of this.”

Rouge nods. “For now, let’s leave [Name] with Omega, then we’ll check on Sonic’s progress.”

Shadow rolls his eyes. “Fine.”

“I HEARD YOU HAVE REQUESTED MY PRESENCE.”

“Omega, watch over [Name] for us until we’re out of the White Space,” Rouge instructs.

“UNDERSTOOD.”

Long story short, the Time Eater gets defeated, and everyone is freed from White Space.

But something is still very, very wrong.

You haven’t gone back to normal.

Your eyes and stance are just as emotionless as before.

“Uh…[Name], are you…doing okay, buddy?” Sonic asks.

“Fine,” you respond, short and simple.

Sonic looks Shadow’s way. “Shads…What…happened to [Name]?”

“I don’t know. All I know is that Black Doom did something to them.”

“Do you know how to help them?”

“…No. Not at the moment.”

“You said that… Black Doom caused this?” Amy asks. “How did he…?”

“[Name] must’ve been on their way to the party when the Time Eater arrived,” Tails starts. “If I had to assume, when they were brought to the White Space, Black Doom saw them on their own and-”

“Corrupted them. When I wasn’t there to protect them,” Shadow mutters, his ears flat against his head.

“Shadow, it’s not your fault,” Rouge says, putting a hand on his shoulder. “You didn’t know he was capable of this.”

Shadow doesn’t say anything, his gaze falling to the ground.

Sonic’s eyelids droop slightly, covering half of his sight as the shine in his eyes starts to disappear. “…Geez, why does everything just feel… terrible…?”

“Hun, step away from [Name],” Rouge says.

Sonic tilts his head to the side but obliges, only to jump seeing a dark aura around your figure, his eyes widening in surprise.

“What the heck?! [Name]?!”

“…‘m tired…hurting…” you mutter. “Nothing…matters…”

“Hey, hey! Don’t say that!” Amy moves to put a hand on your shoulder, but shrinks back at your new power. “…We’ll bring you back to normal, okay?”

“Normal is…nonexistant…”

“Oookay, we’re bringing you to our apartment to try to get some answers,” Rouge states. “Omega, can you grab ‘em?”

“UNFORTUNATELY. BUT I EXPECT SOMETHING IN RETURN.”

Rouge rolls her eyes. “I’ll get you a new upgrade for your weaponry.”

“BRIBE ACCEPTED.” Omega picks you up and puts you on his shoulder with no protest.

“Sorry to leave your birthday so soon, hun,” Rouge says. “But this is urgent.”

“Nah, it’s cool. Just…let us know when [Name] gets better, okay?” Sonic requests.

“Please do! It hurts to see [Name] like this,” Cream says sadly. “They’re one of our closest friends…”

“ …We’ll keep you all updated. Ready to go, hun?”

You being Knuckles’ long-lost friend, and yet here he finds you here: with his enemy, Sonic of all people.

This is how it’ll turn out...

“...So, you’re acquaintances with the hedgehog?” Knuckles narrowed his eyes, his question seemed roughed out and demanding for [Name] to confirm, if he was correct. Most of the time, he believed himself to be right, but he hoped he wasn’t right this time.

Maybe, this was all a misunderstanding.

[Name] was leaning against the tree, bruised up from the explosion and slowly turned to see an unconscious Sonic, sprawled out on the floor as well.

As they slowly crawled to the blue hedgehog, the red echidna saw this and immediately grabbed them by the neck.

“Answer me!” He demanded in an enraged tone, his face squirmed with pure anger, as his eyes were now a deceitful-looking colour of red. The frightened [Animal Name] gripped at the echidna’s boxing glove, hoping to pull it off and they gritted their teeth in trying to ignore the pain on their neck.

Knuckles was already feeling too impatient, he wanted an answer and he wanted it now.

“Answer me. Are you acquaintances with that hedgehog?”

Silence filled them after that question was placed on anger, the echidna grew even more annoyed and tightened his grip on the [Animal Name’s] neck. [Name] squirmed around even more, coughing even and took in a deep breath, quickly nodding.

“Yes-Yes, but he’s--”

Knuckles didn’t even give them time to finish off their sentence. He’d heard enough already.

Slamming them down into the ground, the earth shook its core, as thickened cracks appeared underneath [Name’s] head from the impact. Their eyes were dazed with exhaustion, struggling to maintain their strength.

Knuckles threw them back to the tree, the force caused a cracking yell of pain from [Name], as they were slumped back on the tree. The fiery echidna slowly walked towards them, gritting his teeth.

“Get up, traitor. Put up a fight, at least!” It almost seemed, like he was hoping for [Name] to reach out into the light of them fighting back.

[Name] coughed, shuffling on where they were lying down at and groaned from seeing Knuckles about to fire a punch at them.

Tiredly, they huffed and rolled to the side quickly, away from the tree safely. Knuckles huffed at this, running towards them and started firing multiple punches at them at once.

[Name] was up on their feet in the flash of light, trying their best to dodge the punches. Unfortunately, a flurry of them caused a bleeding nose for them and they sucked in their breath to withhold the pain. Knuckles twirled his fist around, before sending a final punch through [Name’s] stomach and sending them flying upwards.

Now in mid-air, Knuckles climbed up the tree and launched himself up to be right beside [Name] in the air. As the two started punching ‘n dodging, Knuckles showed his rage in not only through the combat, but through his words as well.

“We used to be such great friends. But, you had to go away and make amends with the enemy!”

“But-- he isn’t the enemy, Knux--”

“You do not get to call me that, traitor. I don’t even know you anymore.”

“You do though, Knux-- Knuckles! Remember when we went by the lakes and tried catching some treasure--”

“Stop it.”

“--Or when we always stayed out to watch the stars night, or when we had competitions to see who could eat the most food--”

“No-No, stop it.”

“--Oh, remember when we had combats and your father taught us--”

“ENOUGH!”

And, with that; Knuckles had ruby red electricity wiring throughout his body, as he used his two fists to punch [Name] down to the ground. The terrified [Animal Name] let out a piercing scream, as a sickening boom was heard upon all in the radius.

Knuckles landed on the ground, as he walked over to see a hole with [Name] in it, forcefully picking them up as well. [Name] kicked the echidna off from them, rolling onto the ground and they sat up. As they were about to make a narrow escape with Sonic, Knuckles had tackled them down with such force, holding them down with such harshness.

“You may think those memories will mean for me to forgive you, but it won’t work. Those memories are nothing to me.” Knuckles uttered out, slanting his teeth and he leaned towards [Name’s] ear to then whisper;

“You mean nothing to me anymore.”

[Name] squinted their eyes, trying to hold in their sobs. They felt that nothing would help them in this situation now. “...I’m sorry.”

“Sorry?! You’re apologising? Ha, don’t make me laugh.” Knuckles rolled his eyes, sneering at the injured [Animal Name]. “How pitiful. You make amends with the hedgehog, someone who made us lose EVERYTHING. Now, you will pay for even betraying me.”

The cracking of knuckles were heard, as the raging echidna recoiled his right hand backwards, curling it into a firm fist.

At first he thinks you’re a mutant

But you explain to him that you’re not a human who’s been accidentally mutated, but instead a mobian.

He becomes really interested about your world

Asks you a lot of questions

“Do mutants exist there?”

“Have the krang been there?”

“How about-“

You answer his questions as best as you can

And he answers a few of your own.

Eventually, whether you want to stay or realize you can’t get back to your world, you ask if you could crash at the lair for a bit

He hesitates but eventually agrees

He can’t just leave you out here- especially with the foot clan on the loose

So he brings you back to the lair and introduces you to his family

Mikey asks if you’re an alien

Raph scoffs at that

But technically he’s right- you’re not from this world

Donnie asks if he could run a few tests if you

Whether or not you agree is up to you

Leo makes the couch comfortable for you while you humor his brothers

Brings you plenty of pillows and blankets

At first, you were only going to stay for a bit

But you started spending more time with the leader

He would invite you to meditate with him

Sometimes it didn’t always work out, especially since he likes to meditate for hours

But you were welcomed to chill quietly nearby

He started making teas for you, and after some trial and error, found which one you enjoyed the most

The pantry suddenly has a small section filled with your favorite kind of tea

He insisted he was just trying to make you feel more comfortable.

It was a sweet gesture.

When it became apparent that you couldn’t leave anytime soon, Leo offered to train you.

What if you ran into foot ninjas, or worse, mutants like Dogpound??

If you know a few fighting moves, he’d ask if you could teach them to him

During training, you two end up bonding and talking about your lives

Leo talks about how he leads his brothers, the foot clan, Shredder, and the krang

You talk about your own opponents back home

After that training session, you two started to spar regularly

Which eventually led to compliments

Compliments led to lowkey flirting

Now things are kinda awkward??? But in a good way

You two became fast besties

*Cough* a little more than besties *cough*

Leo offered you a permanent place in the lair

After you agreed, he helped you set up your own little spot

You were part of the family now!

Life in the lair could go from chill to world ending in 10 seconds

But it was still nice

Leo secretly adores your fur/feathers/quills/etc

You catch him staring pretty often

Eventually you offer to let him feel

He’ll get stars in his eyes but he tries to play it chill

Happy little smile.

You end up helping the turtles fight

If you can spin dash, Leo’s in awe

May get a bit distracted during battle

“I’m okay!” He says, after being flung down the block

Pls check on him

Leo realizes that he may or may not have fallen for you

He’ll be in denial for a bit but eventually confess to you

He’ll have your favorite cup of tea and some sweets in hand when he confesses

After you confess as well, he picks you up and spins you around

You two are a chill couple

Some of his favorite things to do is run his hand through your fur/feathers/quills/etc

And cuddle on the couch

Also loves sparring with you

Loves the special moves you do- like spin dashes

If you ever do find a way back to your world, he’ll gladly come visit it with you

OKAY, SO. This morning I was reading Shadow headcanons, because yes, and I came across a Yandere Sir Lancelot headcanon post. Not gonna lie, I was a bit disappointed because it was more so just regular knight stuff.

BUT!! It gave me a thought. In the game there isn’t a character filling in for Guinevere, king Arthur’s wife (nor Mordred). So I was like… “What if Reader fills in for a Guinevere character?”

Because, well… Guinevere cheats on king Arthur WITH LANCELOT.

AND WHO’S SIR LANCELOT? YEEEEEE. SHADOW. So, this just fucking works.

I can hear people asking “isn’t that essentially betraying the king? Shadow is super loyal to King Arthur!” Well, yes. Even in the original tale Lancelot was extremely loyal to king Arthur, even though he was having an affair with his wife. Which doesn’t make too much sense to me but king Arthur does banish him for it and (tried to) burn Guinevere at the stake for the affair. (Honestly, the punishment does not fit the crime, even if she was eventually sent to a convent…)

I feel like, though, this would make an amazing fic! The original tale doesn’t really cover the affair between Lancelot and Guinevere much (that I know of) so really anything can be written lol.

Headcanons-wise.. lol we’re finally getting to that part. Since the characters are generally gonna be the same, I’m going to focus more on the romance between sir Lancelot/Shadow and Guinevere/Reader

Also, note, that I’m not gonna follow the original tale… like at all lol. I’m just going to be using some key points from both the game and the tale.

ALSO, NOTE, I HAVEN’T SEEN ANYTHING FROM THE GAME. I JUST REALLY LIKE LANCELOT SHADOW. My friend is gonna play through the game with me sometime soon so THESE HEADCANONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!

Firstly, Shadow/sir Lancelot had been in love with Reader/Guinevere since before king Arthur became king. (Here’s already a deviation lol)

Reader/Guinevere knew of Shadow/sir Lancelot, as he was one of the many guards Reader/Guinevere had guarding the castle home, but other than his attractive looks and mysteriously stoic personality she didn’t really give him much thought. He was just a knight to her, of course.

Of course, as with the original tale, King Arthur sees Reader/Guinivere and falls madly in love with her, much to Merlin’s chagrin.

Reader/Guinevere isn’t into the relationship as much as king Arthur is, which puts a strain on the two’s relationship. Being the king’s wife wasn’t what she wanted nor envisioned for herself.

Time passes by and King Arthur no longer respects nor dotes on his wife like he used to. He’s now yelling at Reader/Guinevere, berating her, laying his hands on her. The relationship has turned completely toxic.

Shadow/sir Lancelot can only watch the fights from afar, feeling horrible for what Reader/Guinevere has to go through. So, he decides to try to comfort her as best as he can, which is probably awkward at first.

This, tragically, creates a rift inside of Shadow/sir Lancelot. Should he obey his king and stand by his side at the round table? Or should he covet his king’s wife and pursue the love he has for her?

Why not the best of both worlds? Keeping his king’s wife’s company isn’t so much of a crime now, is it?

Because of Shadow/sir Lancelot’s chivalrous actions towards Reader/Guinevere she starts to see what she once wanted before she was married to the king… in him. She can’t help but want to be with her knight who has been with her since even before day one as queen and begins to develop romantic feelings towards Shadow/sir Lancelot.

The two end up forming an unspoken bond of love and companionship, sadly kept secret from the entire world.

I imagine a beautiful scene where it’s just the two of them in a field of flowers on a breezy, sunny day. They go here frequently to relax no matter cloudy or shine. Reader/Guinevere is crafting a flower crown, something she’s been practicing since she was a little girl, and Shadow/sir Lancelot is handing her flowers, a blush on his face. By the time she’s done she puts the flower crown on Shadow/sir Lancelot’s head and the two stare into each other’s eyes for the longest of moments before Reader/Guinevere flutters her eyes shut. Shadow/Lancelot leans in for a kiss that’s so tender and feather-soft you would barely even feel it if not for the warmth.
