Apparently you can shovel a lot of snow in a short amount of time when you hear a blizzard is coming.

AND THUS IT HAS BEEN FORTOLD: most of the schools in Duluth closed overnight, as did my dad's work, but of course UMD is still open! It's weird, though, because I have a solid few inches of snow at my house, but in town it's all rain and slush, with some roads like lakes because of all the standing water. We'll see if I make it through my Workshop shift or if school will cancel before then...
