After not riding for a week, I was going a bit...crazy. Seeing The Great Thaw starting to happen, I decided to chance it and ride the Raleigh Superbe. Prognosis: Still not good. Main roads are clear, but side streets are still a bit too icy rutted for my taste. It was an interesting 2.5 mile ride! Well, tomorrow (Monday) it looks like we will transition to Slushmageddon during the evening.
As forecast (and right on time), light snow started falling around Puget Sound around 4 PM and since then 2-4 inches have fallen in most places. Many local roads are covered, so be careful…

AND THUS IT HAS BEEN FORTOLD: most of the schools in Duluth closed overnight, as did my dad's work, but of course UMD is still open! It's weird, though, because I have a solid few inches of snow at my house, but in town it's all rain and slush, with some roads like lakes because of all the standing water. We'll see if I make it through my Workshop shift or if school will cancel before then...
