Does anybody else find it weird that in order to use the Butterfly Miraculous, you need to grow actual butterflies? Honestly, I always thought they were constructs created out of Nooroo's magic or something.

I guess Heartfixer isn’t being received as well as Astruc would have liked. He’s back on Twitter making up miraculous Lore again.
Word of god is now that both HM and Lila can’t see or hear thru Akuma, they can’t read minds either or control the Akuma either. They just get a vibe about what’s going on and their orders to the Akuma are based on what they assume those vibes mean. Please ignore all previous episodes where HM and or Lila knew exactly what was happening re: Adrien jumping off a building in gorizilla or Lila asking Theo to look at Cat Noir after he got the ring. Or anything with Luka being a risk.
And regarding Marinette refusing to answer if she was ladybug, apparently the Akuma won’t do anything it wouldn’t want to do in the first place, Lila’s goal was to make Marinette deprioritize ladybug so she wouldn’t care enough to hide her identity anymore. Which has some unfortunate implications for some of the more violent Akuma or Luka being worried about their identities.
The more that man opens his mouth the worse he tangles his own lore. He should just let it go. Yes it has holes, own it and stop trying to stretch and stitch the cloth. You're just tearing it worse.
Nothing in Heartfixer required or even suggested needing new lore. We've seen Akumas veer off course before. Hawkmoth was killed by Yo Lang Shi(sp) in the Shanghai special. Lila was using a light touch with Marinette, just as she has *everyone* this season. Lila doesn't dominate, she coaxes.
There, explained it. Zero new lore.
Me: minding my business
Miraculous Ladybug: Ivan is the son of a non-miraculous based supervillain (opening the door for other major characters to be retconned the same way, implying he may or may not have superpowers himself because of his exaggerated strength) abd has been hiding this fact about himself the whole time out of shame; Gabriel wrote a letter (while he was dying from Cataclysm and going insane) asking Adrien to become a supervillain so he could wish him and his mom back to life; Nathalie is an agent of a secret Evil Rich Person Conspiracy that is secretly behind 80% of the shows plot points (Gabriel was also a member of the rich person conspiracy and stole the miraculous on their orders, he may or may not have went rogue at some point while pretending to still be on their side, Tomoe is also a member of the rich person conspiracy and she is lying to them about why Ladybug covered up Hawkmoth's identity), and Nathalie has an evil dad in the rich person conspiracy who is implied to be acting on his own interest to gain the miraculous for his own cause or whatever
Me:
El Toro de Piedra spoilers
This episode and Climatiqueen, along with Revelator and papagarous, are what I was expected for season 6!
Daddycop and Sublimation are insteresting too, for exploring Sabrina's character and a new one, Sublime, but Marinette is written too much like old seasons in them to feel like they belong in season 6... And for me, Illustrhater doesn't feel like belong in this season at all!
More about the episode itself!
We have a Julerose's kiss (off screen yes, but it was expected but it's implied so the show might not be cancelled in some countries!). I love how the kiss was subtly offscreen to show it gives strength to Juleka to avoid censorship but also being impossible to miss what really happens :)
I love Juleka and Ivan here! I love the contrast with the soft song and the action. But also the contrast between their situation: "I'm my father's daughter" from Juleka and Ivan that rejects the idea that he's like his father. And the hightlight put on the word "legacy" during the song with special effets on Juleka. Because it is the theme of the episode. That a child could choose to follow their parent's steps or not with Juleka and her musician of a father and Ivan and Adrien and their supervillain dads. And the end when Ivan told his dad "that means your son is stronger than you." to show him what real strength is and that resistance and saying no are also a form of strength. With Raùl's reaction to the letter, it might imply that he was brutal with his son...
I also love the critique of policeforce. There were only two episodes when the police wanted to arrest the akumatised person because of what they did as a victim of an akuma: and this one. One was because of racism and this one because Raùl was a supervillain before. And the show shows that wanted to do something bad (stealing) and actually doing it are two different things. Plus Raùl being Spanish, so technically a foreigner might be still linked in racism from the policeforces.
Maybe the episode is set after Revelator because Marinette is asking herself and Nathalie if they should lie to Adrien even if to protect him, especially with the parallels between Ivan and Adrien and their supervillain fathers. The doubt is there even if Marinette still hesitate and struggle to what the right thing to do is. I update the post about Season 6 chronological order by the way!
The pun in French is paparapluie, a mix between papa and parapluie (the French word for umbrella), explaining why the plushie is a frog. We even have a kid song where frogs have a party under the rain! The symbol is really interesting in French because an umbrella is supposed to protect you from rain, like a father is supposed to protect his children from the harships of life, something Gabriel stopped to do when he transformed himself from paparapluie to Father and then Hawkmoth. Or should I say like in the show from paparapluie to papapillon (papa + papillon = butterfly).
The man crying and being moved in the museum is a real phenomenon called Stendhal Syndrome (Stendhal is the name of a French writer just in case). It occures when something so beautiful move you to the point of crying. The first time it was noticed was when Stendhal visited the Church Niccolini in Florence (Italia) and he saws for the first time a painting from Bronzino. He was so moved by the painting he started crying, then he almost fainted. He later described the experience as being in extase. It also happened to the British writer Vernon Lee when she discovered the painting Spring from Botticelli. This phenomenon still happens to tourists when they're visiting Renaissance paintings in Florence. It could go from being in transe to hysteria and insomnia.
Now, the very end of the episode (big spoilers ahead!)
Do you think the movie made the right choice in having Akumatized people requiring to be beaten with brute force, as the Akuma is apparently in the person instead of the object, or is it too derivative?
Also, what’s your thought on Nino in a magazine getting arrested for his crimes as bubbler, lol
Well the thing is that the akumatized people were having their emotions turning them into villains, so the akuma were akumatizing their hearts.
In a way I actually think this make more sense in a lore sense then in the show.
By having it be a brute force method it means Any miraculous could be used to fight against akuma, it doesnt make the Ladybug miraculous immediately more special than the cat or any other miraculous. Something I actually like.
Speaking of which the exclusion of the lucky charm does seem like a downgrade but in reality, Ladybug and Chat noir were made much more powerful in the movie
The powers of Ladybug are her powers of creation, miracle cure isnt just returning things to normal, Movie!Ladybug is manipulating the powers of creation to recreate things as they were. Chat noir's destructive power is not just in his cataclysmic touch he can break through pretty much anything, he is a walking cataclysm, and he can focus that power into his touch.
As for nino. I think that wasnt actually nino but they wanted to make a gag of tossing Bubbler in jail cause if you saw the magazine it was about style. It was a dig at the design of Bubbler.

I'm bored please give me some Miraculous theories and lore 😭
Would you agree that the lore is one of the weakest parts of miraculous?
One of many things that's weak about the show. Most definitely.
Like, we're five seasons in and there's still no explanation on the origins of kwamis or the miraculous.
I know there was that comic released that offered the origins, but as that's a throw away comic that was never continued and what happened in it was not acknowledged in canon, well that offer on the origins can now be dismissed and not counted as canon. So we still don't officially know the origins of kwamis or the miraculous. And honestly, in my opinion, shows shouldn't have major plot details or events in comics. Not all fans are going to know that comic's existence, and if the show just goes off those big details/events in the comics, well, some fans will be lost. Spin off comics should just be little extra bit of icing for fans to enjoy, not a must read to get all the details.
We also don't have an explanation on why this Miracle Box in Paris is set up the way it is, why Ladybug and Cat exclusively seem to be the only ones to make the Wish, or what the relationship of these 3 groups are to each other, especially as their power and capability is all over the place. Feast also confirms the existence of other Miracle Boxes and you wonder what are those based on? What are in those? How many miraculous are there exactly and why were so many made? What were they made for?
What are the kwamis history? Their role in history? Did they influence animal stereotypes and myths? Who were they with before? We got a lot of the previous Ladybugs but hardly anything on the others. And even then, on those previous Ladybugs, we still don't have a lot of details on them. Like, I know recently in s5, they brought in the ghost of Jeanne d'Arc, did that even do a decent job of explaining who Jeanne d'Arc is?
Also what are kwami relations with magic and other magical beings? Do other magical beings look down on kwamis because they choose to work with people? Or are they worshiped or admired or respected? We got confirmation that dragons existed, were they really more animals or were they a real magical race? Plagg also confirmed djinns exist, so what else exists? Where are all these magical beings? Are they hiding in plain sight? Did they go to another plane of existence to get away from humans?
These are a handful of questions I've wondered about, and 5 seasons in, there's still no answers to them. So yeah, lore wise, ML sucks.
A Miraculous Timeline ReCap Regarding the Agrestes (specifically Emílie)
Compiling it because i thought it was interesting. Tagging under spoilers because there is mentions from S5.
15 years ago (to even longer)
Gabriel starts his search to seek magical treasures that can grant him power. Has done some bad deeds in his search such as referenced in Shanghai. Eventually on this quest he partners up with Nathalie and Emílie, two friends that were already on a similar quest but not exactly for power. The three work well together.
In Between (unknown years)
Emílie and Gabriel become significantly closer. They eventually marry. Nathalie decides to work for both of them.
Tibet 1 (unknown years)
Gabriel and Emílie take a solo (anniversary?) trip to Tibet. It is unknown if it was to search for a specific treasure or just for pleasure. In this trip Gabriel finds the miraculous, something he may have already been searching for as soon as he learned about it as implied by Emílie (ref: S5 and Secrets). In his possession he now has the book, the peacock and the butterfly miraculous. The two return from their tripped as of now well.
Backyard Date (unknown years)
Emílie and Gabriel have a picnic in their home in which Gabriel gifts her with the peacock miraculous. Emílie happily accepts. Things seem well
The start of the End (unknown years)
Emílie and Gabriel have (or are going to have) a son and things seem to be going well, however Gabriel has become obsessed with finding out more about these miraculous he now has. Whether they knew if it was broken or not already, they both agreed Emílie was to use the peacock miraculous to achieve something (ref: Miraculous Secrets: Gabriel). Here is where I’m personally speculating based on what was revealed so far: It is possible that Gabriel loved what the miraculous did that his obsession heightened to find the rest and see what they could do for him and his search for power. Emílie did not like this sudden obsession her husband had. Whether she continued to use the peacock miraculous to help him search (or create a Senti kid) or stop his obsession is unknown as of mid S5. It is confirmed in the Secrets web series she was actively using it and in S5 that Gabriel was already obsessed before S1 began.
Extra Lore: It is also known that Emílie was a stubborn and rebellious person (Adrien gets this from her). It could also be a possibility she used the miraculous without Gabriel knowing, but whether this is true is also still unknown.
1 year before S1 start: Tibet 2
Emílie has fallen severely ill as a result of her use of the miraculous. Adrien has started to notice his mother hasn’t been doing well but does not know why. The Agreste family starts to slowly crumble as we know it. Emílie has begged Gabriel to stop his search for the rest of the jewels but he is not budging, instead he had become occupied with searching for a cure for her. Both Gabriel and Emílie return to Tibet to seek how to heal her but come out empty handed (as the temple is gone). Knowing she’s at the end of her illness, Emilie leaves Nathalie requests through a hotel in Tibet to get him to stop his obsessive search and worry about what they have left, Adrien. Emílie and Gabriel return from Tibet and Emilie shortly falls into a coma.
Gabriel requests that her videos she left behind be deleted and during her coma, takes the opportunity to chamber her body in a stasis pod in his basement until he can find a way to permanently cure her. A funeral is held and she is pronounced dead publicly. Colt Fathom also mysteriously dies around this time due to events unknown to the viewers as of now, but the Agrestes do not attend his funeral.
S1 Start: Origins
It’s been about a year since Emílie has been absent from their lives, but Gabriel still has this drive to undo his mistakes that led her in the basement. He’s now a cold distant man and it is implied he and his son have grown apart. In his new cold state, he uses the butterfly miraculous to seek answers. (It is unknown if he did anything else during the year Emílie has first been absent). This is when Nooroo reveals that uniting the Cat and Ladybug miraculous will grant a wish. Gabriel now has a new obsession with the miraculous, and rather than finding them, it is now to get these two miraculous to grant a wish where his wife is well (or so it seems). Nathalie missing Emílie as much as Gabriel, decides to help him on this new quest and to do whatever it takes to achieve this. The show as we know it begins.

So yeah, I hope you guys all found this timeline as interesting as I did. I compiled this through watching back the show, specials (movies/web series) and reading through wiki information we have officially. I do know this could be subject to change the more we watch and get further clarity but for now my own speculations aside, this is what we have.
