Tuduuuum~ Here comes the Guardian!Marinette AU!

I made a post here about a year ago about an AU where it's not "Ladybug" but "Marinette" who becomes the official guardian, and I wanted to make a comic about it. (I also wanted to improve first in my drawings, but I figured that if I kept waiting that would never happen, sooo, here we are.)

This scene is settled Post-Feast (in season 3) when Hawkmoth found out about Master Fu’s identity. There should be a rewrite of a few episodes, and each will have a few parts. The idea came during S4 when I couldn't take the angst and sadness and sadrien anymore so, it should be a fairly angst-free comic. Just some twists, feels and shenanigans (╹ڡ╹ )

Arc: S3 Post-Feast

Because there is a whole ass Guardian Temple in Tibet ever since season 3 "Feast" with plenty of other Guardians trained specifically to protect the Miraculous and take down Miraculous holder out of control

Along with dozens of other Miracle Boxes stil able to be used to take down Hawkmoth

I know season 4 pretty much went out of its way to not acknowledge this to make the ending hit as hard as possible... but after "Strike Back" season 5 really has no excuse in that regard.

I hope season 5 episode 1 or 2 finally make it clear and establish for good if the other Guardians of the Miraculous are to be read as allies or foes by the audience. And not this wishy-washy in between stuff. Yes the guardians are harsh, strict and Su-Han has the tendency to be an explosive entitled jerk used to having too much power but this doesn't mean he is a straight up villain. He is just an asshole boss.

And after "Strike Back" we are honestly kinda in a position where I also hope that our heros are going to start concidering to work WITH Su-Han/ the Guardians and not just continue to stomp down their foots and say "no". That's not a solution anymore and even when the event of the season 4 finale were to reveal the Guardians "true, evil nature" then I still want our heros to at least having seen reason to take the first step and accept making compromises for the greater good now.

Of course Su-Han taking away both of their Miraculous is out of question. Or taking Ladybugs guardianship and memories away is also an absolute no-go, just like Su-Han taking his anger out by punishing Chat Noir for the things Ladybug remains untouchable to him because her guardianship requires Su-Han to kinda put up with her until Hawkmoth is gone, this is also 100% unacceptable.

Draw a distinct line at the harsh punishments neither Marinette nor Adrien deserve but please have the beginning of season 5 make genuine attempts to have our heros met Su-Han at least half way in some points.

If it is theoretically required now that Chat Noirs identity needs to be known by someone then there has to be a willingness now to find a better solution than the two we saw in "Ephemeral".

And if it's a requirement now that Marinette has to at least follow a certain amount of traditional guardian rules... then there is really no reason anymore to have her continue to refuse to at least hear them out and follow some of them.

Again, this is more about the heros willingness to get over themselves after season 4 and their issues with Su-Han to TRY to do the right thing and make the necessary compromises now. How Su-Han and the Guardians react to this is a different thing entirely.

Meaning Ladybug should be willing to uphold more traditional guardian rules even if they are inconvenient for her and she has less control and Chat Noir needs to put his parental issues aside and not project his own relationship between himself and his father onto Su-Han and Ladybug/himself. As right as Adrien is in "Furious Fu" by calling Su-Han out on all of his extreme authorian bullshit, the Celestial guardian of the miraculous is not obligated to be a familial and warm presence who listens to them or behaves less like the actual High Authority he simply IS. Su-Han isn't Gabriel and Celestial Guardian of the Miraculous is a very different position as the role of a father, no matter how similar Gabriel behaved.

I just want to see our heros being willing to take the next step to do the right thing after what happened in "Strike Back" and at this point that definitely is going to Su-Han and asking for help no matter if they think are getting chewed out and will have some restrictions placed upon them. The situation is dire as hell. Until we know for sure if the Guardians are allies or foes it goes "innocent before guilty" in my opinion and it's worth the potential sacrifice because the guardians are very valuable allies we cannot sideline anymore.

Gonna put out a take here: given what we’ve seen in the show, i don’t think there’s a difference in the power level between Ladybug and Chat Noir. Rather, the difference is in power utility.

He basically could have done that right after the guardian temples downfall once he was safe from the Sentimonster.

And even if you wanna say that he was too scared to immediately think of that Fu still had a long ass life up til now. One would think that at some point, especially in the interactions with the Kwamis, this would have come up.

I’ve previously mentioned that if I were to do a reboot of Miraculous, I would have the heroes spending the season 5 searching for lost miraculous across the world. However, there would be several lost miraculous found prior to season 5.

Swan- Since it would be a little contrived for all the miraculous out in circulation during the Temple’s destruction to all come from the same miracle box, I think there should be a Swan miraculous, which came from a different miracle box and wound up in an antique shop. I think the Kwamis’ name would be Odette.  I have candidates in mind in regards to who would get their hands on it. The first candidate is Chloe. While I’m sure Marinette would appreciate Chloe trying to become a better person, I don’t see Chloe being Ladybug’s first choice to give a miraculous to. Thus, I felt it would make more sense for Chloe to get her hands on a miraculous by unknowingly buying one at antique shop (perhaps as a gift for her mom only for Audrey to reject the present without even opening it) with the miraculous being a special glass box with the shop owner instructing Chloe to be careful when opening it. If it’s Chloe wielding the Swan, then I would definitely want her to have a ballet motif and maybe call herself Odile (because the name Odette is taken by her kwami). The 2nd candidate would be Lila. If so, then instead using it to immediately become a villain, she instead uses it to become Ladybug’s rival (as I have suggested before). I can also see her using the name Odile.

Rabbit- In this universe, the rabbit Miraculous was out in circulation and was wielded by Alix’s something-great grandmother on her father’s side. However, just prior to Fu creating Feast, a sorcerer trapped Fluff in a magic stone a teleported the stone away. It will be established in season 2 when MArinette notices and empty compartment in the Miracle Box. Sometime during season 3, the heroes suspect that Alix’s pocket watch maybe the missing Rabbit Miraculous, ask if they can borrow it, and use a special tracking potion to track down the trapped and missing Fluff, leading them to the Lourve, where they find the stone Fluff was trapped in. Ladybug and Chat explain the situation to the Lourve employees (sans Alim, who is taking mental health day), who give them permission to use cataclysm on the stone, freeing Fluff. They then give the rabbit miraculous to Alix, just in time for deal with an akumatized Alim. 

Scarab- speaking of the Kubdels, I propose having Jalil’s pendant turn out to be the Scarab Miraculous. Similar the rabbit, Scarab miraculous was being wielded by another one of Alix and Jalil’s ancestors, but one on their mother’s side instead. The Scarab hero as the time was a teammate if the rabbit hero at the time, so when Fluff was trapped in the stone, Scarab Kwami flew to to temple to get help from the guardians while the the Scarab and Rabbit heroes waited back in Egypt with their now Kwami-less miraculous. When the Scarab Kwami made it to the temple, it was the same night Fu created Feast, and the Scarab Kwami got eaten by Feast and got trapped in the magic bubbles in Feasts stomach until Ladybug and the other heroes defeated Feast decades later. Meanwhile the Scarab miraculous began to be passed down through the Scarab hero’s descendents (who did not know its true nature because she died not long after her Kwami’s disappearance) with Jalil being the latest to wear it after his deceased mother. Upon Feast’s defeat, the Scrab Kwami flies to where they sense their miraculous and winds up meeting Jalil 

Bat- Two possibilities- Either this is the Felix’s miraculous for the first three seasons and he uses it to play the part fo the edgy rival (but compared to Lila he’s more of a friendly rival to the heroes and is more like an aloof ally) until he learns Hawk Moth’s identity and motivation, leading to Felix to betray the heroes and the ensuing battle has a bunch kwami shuffling and fusing and during this scuffle, he lose the bat miraculous (while gaining the bee before fleeing with the other villains, only to lose the bee as well because whichever hero was wielding the dog during the battle managed to hit the bee miraculous with their ball), or it gets badly damaged during the battle and the ingredients for fixing it are harder to find than the ingredients for fixing the peacock. So Gabriel decides to give him the now-repaired peacock miraculous Or this is the miraculous Lila finds and uses to become Ladybug’s rival if it’s not the Swan.
