#miymarch19 day27: PATCH and #mendmarch day27: TEE TIME The Crazy Quilt is all patches (as is usually the case for quilts). The most worn area of The Crazy is at the top, where I pull it to cover me. I recently realized that using knits in that section will allow more "give" and maybe it'll take longer to wear out. First I brought out all the old socks that were destined to become cat nip toys. (Dotted items behind Mr Lou in photo 2. I sure have a lot of dotted socks!) Then, with the tee prompt, I realized "tees are knit too". Doh. I'm going to cut out the graphics to use for patches. The rest of the tee, I'll use in one of my weaving projects. The Statue of Liberty patch has been on The Crazy for years. It came from a souvenir NYC tee that I wore in the late 70s. Actually the other two tees are from NYC as well. #miymarch19 day20 REUSED. What I now use as a car console rattle buffer for my iPod, used to be a pocket to hold a surgical drain (2010). And that was in a MacGyvered dress that I made from a skirt and a shirt. That stupid drain gave me much drama.
