â present â ll fuyuhiko & shiori

Was it strange that he cared so much about a present for someone heâd only just met this year- Someone who didnât even entirely know who he was yet? He knew he could change that at any time. But? He didnât want to tell her his title just yet. Not yet. No way.
It was good to meet someone who wasnât scared of him. He wasnât going to break that fragile balance.
Not yet. He wouldnât risk it yet. However? That didnât mean he didnât care- Kuzuryuu wasnât the type to go out of his way for presents, and the fact that heâd only found out about this last minute? Well, he had to get creative. And? The fact that he was one of few who knew her talent here at this school? Well, it made it a little easier for him to think of something to bring. ( It simply required him heading home for the day- Heâd only just barely made it back in time for this. )
He didnât bring her present. He had to leave it in his room- It wasnât as though he could really go around carrying a w e a p o n throughout the school. And the gun heâd pulled from his familyâs armory? Well, it had been custom crafted years ago, with only one matching gun. The second in the pair was currently in use. It was the gun he kept himself. Heâd brought her the unused twin. A black-metal handgun, decorated elaborately with gold. It wasnât the strongest thing- It had been made for decoration, intimidation. . . In some cases. However? He knew she could put it to better use.
â⊠well. Nothingâs really the matter. But? If youâre not busy, do you mind cominâ with me? I know itâs short notice, butâŠâ With that, the blond scratches the back of his head. Honey-hued eyes shifting to the side- He wasnât good at surprises. He wanted to straight up tell her that heâd gotten her a present. But, for some reason? The freckled Yakuza was feeling a little playful.
If he could surprise her? On her birthday? Even if it wasnât a classic gun, or even a collector. . . Perhaps the fact that the only existing duplicate was a gun he owned? Perhaps that had some value to â f r i e n d s. â ( Or? Maybe someday, it would condemn him? She would be the only person in the world who could prove that his handgun was involved. . . ) But? He didnât know that yet. Nor did he care to- SCHOOL DAYS were meant to be simple. ( âFRIENDSHIPâ ) was meant to be simple. And he didnât want to go complicating it just yet. âIf you donât mind?â
