Miles update
Brought the boy home last night for home care until we figure out what's going on, and it didn't go well. I don't know if it was moving around in the carrier, or, as the techs said, he trusts me and will tell me when he's hurt in a way that he won't for them, but I can't even shift him the foot from inside his kennel to outside without him crying and growling. He ate and drank lots last night, and even purred for head scratches, which he wouldn't do at the vet, but I can't get him to pee, and he growls the entire time I try. Even with the painkillers, he's still clearly in a lot of pain.
The neurologist can't tell what's wrong without an expensive CT, and we're waiting on the pre-approval from the insurance. But even if that does go through, I need to remember to ask if there's anything it could possibly show that I could afford to treat, or if I'm just making both of us miserable for nothing.
