I love that Mike's line is "Wanna come take care of me?" but their one scene together is Mike taking care of Jim. Absolutely perfect, when do they get their own series?

MY STAND-IN (2024) | Episode 12
One caption: be gay, do crime.
i hope the old man has a heart attack that brings him to his grave when P'Mike brings secretary Jim home too to meet the in laws
If anything, I am really rooting for Mike and Jim, like please just give me a silly show about them having barely concealed office sex while bitching about Ming's bullshit

My Stand In finale
Number of times I cried: 5
The good - Joe choosing Ming. Don't @ me. Plus mums making up and making sense, acceptance by Mings dad, crumbs of Mike and Jim, hints of a possible Sol x Yim romance, babes and darlings all over the place, Joe's a star, Ming's a devoted faen, and they're staying in their apartment not moving to a posh condo.
The bad - Tong being given an actual redemption. Fuck that guy, I still want him yeeted off of the cliff OG Joe died on. After he'd been dragged through the press for fraud and not doing his own stunts. Mae's too good for him.
The puzzling - why have they got Payu's light, bright, ultra modern house which is all windows as the exterior of Ming's family household while the inside looks like a gothic, dark Victorian mansion? So odd.
Plus I laughed a few times, particularly when Ming and Joe couldn't get a second's peace in that hospital room. So much food being delivered - if I'd been a nurse I'd have been lurking hoping for leftovers...
I was hoping for a bit of verse action but sadly 'twas not to be. Still, finishing on a sneeze was class. Great series - Up and Poom were fabulous. More please.
Dad: First, Ming become gay because of this stuntman-Joe, now Jim made Mike, my firstborn, perfect son, a gay. Doesn't anone like girls in this family anymore?
May: Well, to be honest, dad... This is Joy, my girlfriend.
Ming&Mike&May: *high five*
