The similarities are uncanny and I don’t just mean in appearance. Hero Killer stain had strong morals, and unjust might they be, his view on the corrupt hero society was insightful.

Midoriya most likely recognized its flaws, seeing the barriers in his path to being a hero to his full extent. Saw the short comings, the lack, how they always seemed to fall short.. Yet he keeps his views on villains. They are wrong and should be stopped, but stopped doesn’t always mean killed nor unforgiven.

Midoriya wants to save Shigaraki and that means leaving behind the restraints of the hero society and going out on his own. Being a vigilante. Being his own society.

I say they both have similarities because both him and Stain inspired others, their strong morals and knack for getting it done makes them so moving. A force to be reckoned with.
