When Izuku was born Inko had thought he would be special.
She had loved him and thought him perfect. But now, as she watches him slink by, blindfold firmly in place, she can feel only hatred for the child who had cost her everything.
The child who had made her the mother of a villain.
Inko didn't love him anymore. He was fourteen now and hadn't seen his mother's love or her face since he was five. However, he knows that even if he was able to take the blindfold off he'd likely still see neither. Inko hated him for his quirk, that was obvious, but it wasn't the only reason. No, according to her, he's ungrateful (after all she kept him), he's selfish (he wanted to actually leave home for something other than school) and he's the reason his father left. That last one may actually be true. Hisashi Midoriya had walked out one summer day just after he'd turned four, ranting about "creepy brat" and "clearly not my son", convinced that Inko had cheated on him.
