Obviously this comes down to preferences and characters etc. and while i do think the manga does get even better, this kamino arc remains my favorite and imo bnhas peak. Again, all might is my favorite character so im biased lmao, but "rewatching" this arc through your posts keeps reminding me how incredible it is. We're not even at my fav part yet! I'll keep this spoiler free of course, but the entire epic dynamic that is all might and afo, the afo reveal, the shigaraki reveal, the all might reveal to the world!! (i can't remember if the anime shows this, but that small panel of izuku looking panicked and angry for all might as his own secret is exposed is chefs kiss) there's everybit of detail that adds to multiple characters, the dadmight dynamic is 5 stars, the absolute chills of everyone cheering for all might, metaphorically standing behind him as he fights; the stakes are high and all might just keeps 👏 on 👏 going. (Another detail but in the manga, the panel of all might standing strong between the civillian and afo, has the ground destroyed in the shape of his grin and i find that awesome). This villain is using everything in his book to destroy toshi in every sense, and after exposing his real form that he's embarrassed by, his grin is quite literally embedded into the ground facing afo, as a result of his attack. Very izuku core of me, the way I absolute fangirl over this lmao. Anyway, long ask but im having fun with your posts and i hope you're enjoying watching the series!
I bet the manga version of this fight is incredible. I have seen a few pages of the manga. I peaked at the first volume when I saw it at Barnes & Nobles (I was so curious I couldn't resist, lol) and the art style looked good!
This arc has felt so extremely peak that I am actually uncertain about where the story is going to go in season 4. There were so many big reveals back to back!
All Might is one of my favorites too! It is hard to choose though. Is it too boring for me to have the main character as my favorite? I really love Midoriya. Dadmight gives me life.
The ground impact being in the shape of a smile is a great visual metaphor! If it was in the anime I don't think I would have noticed it. I am not that observant, lol. I love thoughtful details like that. It really drives home how inspirational All Might is in this fight. His refusal to give in made me cry (I'm a baby when I watch scenes like this).
