I hate them with a burning passion. Sitting stationary, checking in with each individual part of the body. Hoping for a response.
I never get one, mostly because my mind is racing ahead of my teacher’s voice to find the problem before it surprises me.
Today was different. Today my intuition had a message: slow down. - a message I’ve been forever getting and forever ignoring because I’m not ever entirely sure what it means. Slowing down in this city, especially where I am in my life is certain death. Certain. “Slowing Down” is a scary world. Since the time I can remember I’ve fantasized about being busy and staying busy. “I’m sorry Karen, I have drinks with Todd to discuss the charity gala next month. After that I’m having dinner with so and so to do what-have-you and have to be up early for breakfast with...” My ambitions have always been lofty and my plate, full.
But today I was tenderly reminded that sometimes ‘slow down’ means for the moment. Weigh the options, seek knowledge and then apply it tenfold to the current hot topic. Take risks and then take the time to cheer yourself (myself) on for it.
Remember that not every move has to be successful; sometimes movement can be for the sake of the “just see-ing”. Not every heart ping is a sign of something bad waiting around the corner.
My intution is talking.

• Swipe for a “hidden” talent 👉🏿• I love to sing. When I was young I was so fascinated with the sound that a saxophone made and would spend hours trying to the sound with my voice. Then I discovered singers who could move me to dance or cry with an inflection and my first love developed. To me, singing feels like coming home.
