💥 BAND RECOMMENDATION O’CLOCK 💥
I saw and heard Seattle’s He Whose Ox is Gored for the first time in the summer of 2016, while they were on tour with Ghost Bath. I had no idea what to expect going into their set, but man, what a pleasant surprise!
Fronted by the badass Lisa Mungo (synthesizers/vocals), HWOIG puts on a live show that’s heavy as fuck, creating a massive and simultaneously beautiful wall of sound. You kinda just have to see them to understand what I mean. If I had to give their music a description, I’d probably go with... experimental doom metalgaze? Genres/styles aside, definitely a band to look out for, and one I think many of you will dig.
