Quick 2AM yap sesh on this album. Always saw this album groupes with the geese, bncr and mbv songs. Thought it would js be another cool yet incomplete shoegaze album as most shoegaze albums are. But an hr went by and I sat in silence trying to process this album.
The production is so blown out and washed in reverb that everything feels like it's decaying right in front of you, yet that's exactly what makes it beautiful. it somehow manages to sound absolutely overwhelming while also feeling incredibly lonely.
It also deffo sounds very human, although drowned in fuzz and ambience, it feels very real and not cold at all. You kinda follow the bands thought process with each track.
It definitely won't click with everyone but if it does click, it's unlike anything you've ever listened to. Def one of my fav shoegaze/post industrial albums yet.
10/10. A haunting, beautiful, overwhelming masterpiece that somehow makes emptiness sound comforting.
