Meredith Landgraab

Before she married the scheming and manipulative Ted Roswell, Meredith was a spoiled, self-absorbed, and entitled rich girl. Her father was none other than Chester Landgraab, and Meredith was his youngest daughter. The two older girls, Judith and Nancy had many of the same traits, but Meredith being the baby, and her mother Queenie dying within a year of her birth, Chester really went overboard with Meredith. His thinking was giving her everything she wanted would replace the fact she was raised without her mother.

TED- “Exactly, you being pregnant with another man’s child is the least of my concerns right now.  Not to mention Timothy never came home last night and now I find out he is in San Myshuno with that Doctor Boedell’s kid.”

MEREDITH- “Well, maybe it is better he is out of town for a few days. I mean it is probably safer in San Myshuno than it is here...So can I tell you my plan, do you have a minute?”

TED- “One Minute...I need to meet the medical examiner so hurry up.”

MEREDITH- “I am going to go to Oasis Springs and stay with my family there until the baby comes.  I will take Rose with me. That way no one will know anything, and I will give the baby up for adoption.”

TED- “Whatever, Meredith, I don’t care, just see that Rose is taken care of.  After you give birth I will file the necessary paperwork.”

MEREDITH- “Paperwork?  For what?”

TED- “Our divorce.

MEREDITH- “Either you hear me out in regards to this, Ted, or I go to that reporter and tell her all about you and your hot masculine lover, Major General John Rivers….”

TED- “Don’t threaten me Meredith, we can not allow this child to be born.”

MEREDITH- “I think you have a lot more to lose than I do, ____ So either hear me out, or your little secret gay lover affair is out of the closet!”

TED- “FINE!!  So what’s this plan?”

MEREDITH- “We need to talk, Ted.”

TED- “Meredith, listen, do whatever it is you need to do, I have bigger things to worry about right now.”

MEREDITH- “What is bigger than this.  I am pregnant.”

TED- “With another man’s child, it is not my concern Meredith. You have made your choice to have this baby, and it is of no concern to me, I just had to tell John and Lily Rivers that their only daughter is dead.”

MEREDITH- “Jaylen? Dead? How!!??”

TED- “Apparently she was walking home from Ruby’s last night and was attacked by some wild animal, she was mauled to death.”

The Mayor, Ted Roswell and his wife Meredith, are talking in the kitchen, as Timothy begins to walk in and he stops and listens in on their conversation….

TED- “Meredith we agreed on this, how could you let this happen!?”

MEREDITH- “I didn’t plan it Ted, Lord knows I certainly did not want another child. And not to mention, half the town know you had a vasectomy, thanks to that reporter last year that saw you go into the clinic.”

TED- “There is only one option then…”

MEREDITH- “No, I can’t do that, but I have a plan. Hear me out.”

Meanwhile back out at the Roswell home, Meredith is talking to someone on the phone….

MEREDITH- “He said that when I return that he is going to file the divorce papers on grounds of adultery….if he does this, all my inheritance goes to him. I told him the baby was Sully’s he doesn’t know it’s yours…. Okay but how are you going to do that…..

RHETT- “I have a way Meredith, and once I take care of this situation, you will have nothing to worry about, Okay.  And you don’t have to leave town.  You trust me right?

MEREDITH- “What are you going to do Rhett?”

RHETT- “Just trust me, okay. It is time that everyone finds out just what kind of man, Ted Roswell is. He has been swindling this town out of money and putting the people in harm's way too long, it has to stop.”

MEREDITH- Okay, if you think I am going to be okay, then I will stay in town.  I do trust you Rhett.  I love you.”
