MEREDITH- “I will be there tonight, 7:00 right?”

TED- “Yeah, and you can bring your friends too if you like.  I would prefer it just be you, but...

MEREDITH- “They will be with me. It’s nice to meet you Ted, and thanks for the information.”

TED- “Sure thing. Meredith, I am beginning to like that name, it is actually pretty and suits you. So what’s your last name?”

MEREDITH- “Landgraab.”

TED- “Like Landgraab Industries??!”

MEREDITH- “Yes, it’s my dad’s company.”

TED- “Well ain’t that something...”

MEREDITH_ “What?”

TED- “My dad is in a partnership with your dad. Landgraab Industries are the ones that are cultivating this thing. You definitely need to come to this meeting tonight.”

Meredith is somewhat shocked at what Ted said about Landgraab Industries being a part of this strange scheme he was talking about.  If this was true, she doubted her Dad knew anything about it. She watched Ted Roswell walk away... there was something about this guy...

ELLIOT- “So what did he tell you?  Anything good?”

MEREDITH- “Maybe... or maybe not, but we have a meeting to go to tonight over there in that building.”

ELLIOT- “I don’t like the looks of that guy, are you serious about meeting him tonight?”

TANNER- “Meeting for what?”

MEREDITH- “I will tell you on the way back, but I got a feeling it is going to be very eye opening.  Hey... look at that guy over there by Ted...something is wrong with him!”

ELLIOT- “He just looks drunk to me.”

As Meredith and the other two students head into the library, she notices a guy sitting outside on the bench...

TANNER- “I think he is a local guy, I’ve seen him hanging around out by the military base a lot.”

MEREDITH- “He seems odd, just sitting there.”

ELLIOT- “Everyone in this town are odd, Meredith, or haven’t you noticed?”

As they get closer he notices them...

TED- “Hey, you guys are those student science people aren’t you?”

ELLIOT- “Ignore him keep walking... he looks shady to me.”

TED- “Hey, girl, are you a science nerd too?”

MEREDITH- “Actually yes, I am. And for your information...”

ELLIOT- “Oh here she goes... We are heading inside Meredith...”

TED- “Meredith huh? Sounds like an old woman’s name. Where you from Meredith, and why would you want to come here?”

MEREDITH- “I live in Oasis Springs, and this is our summer class.”

TED- “School in the summer? You are a nerd. So you here ‘cause of all the strange shit going on?”

MEREDITH- “I guess you could say that, or they just brought us out here to clean the old base.”

TED- “So you trying to find out what’s happening here?  If so, I can tell you what I know.”

MEREDITH- “Yeah, we got tired of cleaning so we thought we would do some investigating on our own.”

TED- “I’m Ted, Ted Roswell. My dad is Ted Sr. and he is the mayor in this town, so I pretty much know anything you would want to know.  Bottom line, it’s all about money. Some crazy guy that lives outside of town in an old wrecked plane with a bunker underneath it brought back some samples from this place out in space. He is retired military, and was an astronaut back in the day. He swears the samples are alive, and the government is trying to cultivate them. He says for some type of weapon. Anyway, my dad saw an opportunity to bring some money into this dead town. So he started all of this.”

MEREDITH- “So you are saying this was all political, and it really isn’t anything but some kind of political propaganda?

TED- ‘Not sure what you just said, but it really is something.  Trust me. My dad got in WAY over his head. But if you don’t believe me, you can come to a meeting tonight. Some of the townspeople are planning on going out there this week.”

MEREDITH- “Out where, where are they going, and where is this meeting?”

TED- “They are going out to the military base, that is where this thing is at.”

MEREDITH- “We are staying out there, we have been all over that base, there is nothing out there...”

As they go outside of Ruby’s Ted pulls out a knife and puts it to Hrold’s side...

HAROLD- “You think killing me is going to shut me up, Mayor? I got all this wrote down, and Princess will find it if something happens to me, and the truth will finally be told about Ted Roswell.  I know that damn vampire is paying you to use the lab, and to allow all those vampire and witches to stay out at the crash site.  You may think you have everyone fooled, but I see and hear things, Roswell.”

MAYOR- “I really think you have had too much to drink, Harold, let’s get you to sleep, come on let’s go….

Early the next morning at dawn....

Erwin is walking to his booth after being up all night long and see something laying next the the Motel 6 building...he gets closer and can’t believe it, another dead body this time it’s….

TED- “Exactly, you being pregnant with another man’s child is the least of my concerns right now.  Not to mention Timothy never came home last night and now I find out he is in San Myshuno with that Doctor Boedell’s kid.”

MEREDITH- “Well, maybe it is better he is out of town for a few days. I mean it is probably safer in San Myshuno than it is here...So can I tell you my plan, do you have a minute?”

TED- “One Minute...I need to meet the medical examiner so hurry up.”

MEREDITH- “I am going to go to Oasis Springs and stay with my family there until the baby comes.  I will take Rose with me. That way no one will know anything, and I will give the baby up for adoption.”

TED- “Whatever, Meredith, I don’t care, just see that Rose is taken care of.  After you give birth I will file the necessary paperwork.”

MEREDITH- “Paperwork?  For what?”

TED- “Our divorce.

A young woman comes towards them, the sheriff goes to his talk to the boy that discovered Jaylen’s body, Erwin Pries, the other officers cover Jaylen’s body.

ERICA- “Mayor, we heard reports of someone finding the body of a young girl out here, what can you tell me?”

MAYOR- “Good Morning Miss Collura, I see it didn’t take long for you to get here, did the sheriff’s dispatcher call you? And, Yes, a young female was found this morning, an apparent victim of a brutal animal attack.  We have yet to confirm who it is, but once we contact the next of kin we will advise.”

ERICA- “An animal!? Oh goodness...So any speculations as to how she died?”

MAYOR- “Like I already said, it was an animal attack.  We will know more once the medical examiner does his work, and I am sure you will be one of the first to know that as well.... Seeing how you are sleeping with him.”

ERICA- “No need to get personal, Mayor, I am just doing my job.”

MAYOR- “As am I and the sheriff’s office, and you are interrupting our crime scene, so if you will excuse me, I need to locate the victims family.”

ERICA- “So you know who the young woman is?”
