I really feel like both of Roman and Logan's arcs are going to happen at the same time.
They're both ignored and don't feel like they're loved. And considering that the next episode is probably about Crofters, there will be angst ahead.
Janus, Remus, Virgil and Patton having shown zero interest in Crofters (the last two only appeared to make puns), and Logan gets sad. He hates being selfish, but wasn't Crofters his thing? If he couldn't be known as the serious guy who didn't hurt others, Logan would have liked to be the serious guy who loves Crofters.
But now, he's in the background, having to pretend that it doesn't bother. No, it doesn't bother him that after so long he realized he wasn't special after all. It doesn't bother him now that he's knows no-one loves him, thank you very much.
He looks at Roman, and Logan knows he's not any better.
Roman sees new Crofters flavors, and he's so excited. After two long years, he can finally get his own Crofters flavor! Thomas really loves him after all, that Dece- Janus wasn't nodding about the lie after all, that he's still forgiven for every villainous at he's done! Virgil and Patton deserve flavors, he can't understand how people would want to eat Remus', and then Janus. Janus gets one. Someone who lied and manipulated him. To take his mind off, Roman asks Thomas where's his flavor.
Thomas' silence is all he needs to know. Thomas still hates him, everyone's more important then him, he was just being dramatic over Janus, he should stop being so sad, he's the villain after all, and he has to see his brother who Thomas is still clearly uncomfortable with, get his flavor. He truly is unloved.
He looks at Logan, and Romam knows he's not any better.

Patton didn’t mean to scare the human. It’s hard for him to see people so far away from him when he doesn’t have his glasses. Humans are so tiny. Now he’s been stuck with who knows how many sedatives and chained in a cage by the humans he scared.
Gosh, Virgil and D must be waiting for him to come back. Will he be able to go back? D was making dinner for their third anniversary and Virgil was so excited, babbling about how cool that he has two dads and how none of his friends have two dads and none of his friends have a dad who’s both a dad and a mom. Will Patton make it home in time?
Footsteps. Patton twists his head to face a human wearing a lab coat, peering through the bars at them. The human stops, looking up at Patton through a pair of rectangular glasses. Patton swallows. “Hello,” he says nervously. “How are you?”
“My name is Logan Smart,” the human says simply. “I am a behavioral scientist and one of the founders of this establishment. Who are you?”
“I, uh, I’m Patton Hart.” Technically he’s now Patton Foster but… “Can I go home please?”
Logan scoffs. “What you did earlier was frowned upon. You won’t be leaving here for quite a while.”
Patton shifts uncomfortably in his cage, muscles tense in the enclosed space. “That’s not legal, I deserve to go home just as much as you do.” He moves his arms slightly, shoulder blades aching. “Please.”
“No,” Logan says, clasping his hands behind his back. “You scared Remus, which, frankly, is nearly impossible to do. Remus doesn’t get scared. He does the scaring. You’re too dangerous to release for some time.”
“I lost my glasses,” Patton says. “I couldn’t see him!”
“Then it’s even more dangerous to let you go. You could scare others and hurt them. Once we find you glasses or a safe transport through the city, we’ll let you go.” He turns away from Patton.
“Wait!” Patton manages to grab the end of Logan’s lab coat between two fingers and the human looks up at him. “Please,” Patton says. “It’s our third anniversary and I was only going to get D a present. Please. I have a…” Is this man homophobic? Possibly. Patton thanks D for being genderfluid so he doesn’t misgender her. “...a wife and child at home. Please. Let me go home.”
“I’m sorry, Patton,” Logan says. He tugs his coat out of Patton’s grip. “It seems as though you’ll be missing your anniversary.” Logan walks away.
Patton looks through the bars of his cage, helpless but to watch the human shut him inside. And so he begins to cry. His cries must echo through the building, he’s big and he’s loud and he’s not doing anything to muffle the tears.
But no one comes.
(This one is going to have a sequel later this month)
Pride: a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. We often imagine Pride as Roman’s Dark Side, but what if it was a separate side entirely?
With these idea, I ended up creating a plot where Pride had an entire episode based around him, but knowing me, I only did quotes he might say! Consider it a character introduction.
The storyline I went for this is that Thomas went to an audition, and he didn’t get the role. The main problem was that he was the most experienced person auditioning, and the others either sucked or were beginners. However, the director chose them instead of the clearly superior one in the theatre (Pride’s words, not mine), and Thomas began to think he deserved the role, not them. Pride was eventually exposed and now we’ve got a wild Dark Side on our hands.
Pride’s sorta an asshole, but the guy doesn’t care about anyone’s opinions. He’s confident in what he can do, and is also confident in Thomas’ abilities. Pride is a perfectionist and short tempered. He’s very similar to Roman due to their similar functions, and as a result, he enjoys Disney and makes a lot of references to Disney Channel in particular! The reason why I made Pride separate to Roman for this post is because Thomas didn’t only split his creativity, but his ego as well. Roman simply represents Thomas’ confidence and ego, while Pride is straight up narcissistic and arrogant.
Pride represents arrogance, narcissism, honor, dignity, satisfaction, self image, hubris, self-love and self-glorification.
Now, onto the lines!
“Wow, glad you little Little Sides caught on so easily!”
“Finally, I’m in the spotlight!”
“Staying in the background got boring. I thought I would put on a little performance before I showed up. You came out of the theatre feeling very happy, I assume. The metaphorical theatre, of course. The one we left had poor taste in judgement.”
“Para, let me get this straight. You believe Thomas didn’t do his best in his performance? A performance he worked very hard on? Wow, you have so much trust in Thomas’ abilities.”
“What, the P word? Bitches, Paramount exists.”
“I’m not Roman, ya know.”
“Well, Thomas. Lemme put this way. While you may not know how to pronounce Wednesday, you know that there’s a different between proud of your accomplishments and being a dick about them.”
“I don’t know De De and Re Re. I kept my distance from all of them. Or, at the very least, I was forced to keep my distance.”
“Why are you making such a big deal about this? I vote someone out of my life everyday.”
“Yes, Roman! Bizaardvark reference. You know, that was one of the most happiest days of my life!”
“I have faith in Thomas’ abilities! I just don’t have faith in people’s judgement.”
“I’m not fucking Deceit. I don’t manipulate people. I don’t care if you’re on my side, or if you like me. I’m here to deliver my opinion and to make sure you know I’m right.”
“Can someone please shut up the Specialist Teacher? I’m about to a Para move and take a cat nap.”
“You know, Para? Hearing you say not to call you that makes me want to call you that even more.”
“Respect? Oh, sorry. I don’t know anything about words.”
“Holy shit, you are confusing.”
“Thomas deserved that role and you know it! He has the most experience!”
“Thomas did his best, and his best is amazing! Their best is Sonic 06 quality.”
“I finally why De De was trying so hard to make you go to that callback. Thomas, you’re way too giving. Just, for once, take.”
“No, no Roman, please speak up. Subjects have to hear their prince, after all.”
“I smell sexual tension............and pizza.”
“You can’t handle me? I’m pretty sure you’re not to supposed to handle me.”
“Are you still mad at me because I gave Thomas his fedora phase? For the last time, they were trending!”
“Nice idea, Roman! I’m open to a compromise if anyone can make a good argument.”
“It’s okay to think that you were the best, but don’t let it hurt other people? Be aware that people have tried their best? Be nicer? Work with Roman? .........Got a little sappy, but whatever fits the glass shoe, I guess.”
“It isn’t a real apology if you’re not sorry.”
“Fine. I’m sorry for making Thomas an asshole, and I’ll try my best to be more humbler. For you guys.”
“The day I doubt Thomas’ capabilities is the day Patton stops suppressing his emotions.”
Virgil squirmed, fiddling with the strings of his jacket. "Nevermind," he mumbled. "It's not a big deal."
"No, I think I get it," Logan mused. "You and Deceit are--"
"Were," Virgil corrected hastily, shoving his hands in his pockets with a little more force than necessary.
"Were," Logan continued, "romantically involved?"
Virgil's face went an even brighter shade of red. "I-- kind of?"
Without warning, Roman whipped out his katana with a growl. "Please! As if Virgil would ever date such a character!"
Virgil frowned, glancing at the floor. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"He's awful!" Roman sneered. "Slimy in both his appearance and his actions. And have you seen his face? Has he heard of moisturizer?"
Virgil looked up again, clearly offended. "Who gave you the right to make fun of his face? That's like calling someone out because there's a gap between their front teeth, only it's something he can't fix."
Roman flinched back. "I didn't mean it like all that."
"Then what did you mean?" Virgil hissed.
"Woah now!" Patton yelped putting his hands up. "Let's settle down, okay? No one was trying to insult you-- or Deceit!" He added.
Virgil ducked his head, hiding behind his bangs. "I just... know how this goes. How he must feel. I didn't want this to turn into a half-hour of the three of you calling him names."
Patyon's shoulders slumped. "Of course not, buddy. Maybe he's not our friend, but from what I can tell he's yours. And that's okay. We just need to give him some time."
Logan frowned. "Give him time for what?"
Patton shrugged. "Deceit is the one making himself look like a villain. He wants us to be afraid of him, like how Virge used to act. Maybe he'll be reformed too if we let him be!"
Roman sheathed his sword. "He acts like a villain... but maybe it really is just acting," he admitted. "But even if that's the case, I don't see why you'd be into him."
Virgil shrugged weakly. "Like I said, I've been in his position. And I've been there while he was there. So we were both there. Together. And then we were... together. You know, together. It just seemed like a logical step, I guess."
"It kind of makes sense," Logan mused.
Patton turned to look at him. "What do you mean?"
Logan hummed softly in thought. "Well, Deceit acts on self-preservation, as we've previously stated. And Anxiety's job is extremely similar. It only makes sense that Anxiety and Deceit would go together hand-in-hand." He looked over at Virgil with a smirk. "Literally in this case."
Patton giggled. "You definitely meant that one, Lo."
Logan adjusted his tie. "What I'm trying to say is, when you're worried about something, you might lie to get out of the situation, and when you're considering lying you think through the outcomes carefully. Deceit and Virgil often work together, even subconsciously."
Roman huffed. "By that logic, Patton would be just as susceptible to Deceit's..." He pursed his lips. "Charms."
"That could be true," Logan conceded.
Virgil shook his head. "I didn't ask you to psychoanalyze me. I just thought you all should know. That we-- that he and I-- were. You know."
Roman sighed softly. "And that's okay, I guess. Like Patton said, we should give him a chance. Why not?"
