But to this day, whenever I remember that person trying to call-out my complaints about stories that lean on (Romance genre) tropes without first creating emotional investment in the characters/relationships, I recall that version of that meme, where someone else so perfectly explained my same idea, that AFTER you have been invested and endeared to a ship/characters, THEN I LOOOOOOOVE CLICHE ROMANCE TROPES. But a story/writer has to create that set-up investment, that endearment, FIRST! Without that, it's just empty, hackneyed cliches!

Honestly, some of these I don't even understand anymore why I loved them so much. But I do remember them being my most intense fixations for several years each.

I don't know if I categorized some of these correctly.

Did I ship DateSana because they were "hot"? Not sure. I'm aroace. But it was the only other box where they could fit. Though, I guess DateSana also had strong subtext. But I remember doing a questionnaire for DateSana years ago, and the result was something like "2 hot people with a lot of chemistry". So I think they can fit into the "hot" box?

I was tempted to put Claumitri into the "hot" box because they're very pretty. But I specifically got into DMCL because the fanart was so incredibly beautiful.

Kind of funny coincidence how my strongest OTP fixations over the years, totaled out to be 9, and this template had 9 boxes. ^.^;
