I remember when I was little, I wondered what videogame company I should choose as my favorite. And I narrowed it down to between Capcom and Konami. I chose Konami, because they published the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game, and I was little and obsessed with Ninja Turtles. lol But then seemingly immediately afterwards, I found myself more preoccupied with playing mostly Capcom games, for the next several years:
Rival Schools, Project Justice
Street Fighter II
Dalkstalkers 3
Mega Man 2, 3
Devil May Cry 3+
Capcom vs SNK 2001
Marvel vs Capcom 2
And then my favorite anime ended up becoming Sengoku Basara (2009-2011). ^u^
It's just so strange that Capcom became one of my favorite videogame companies, but there are so many big Capcom titles that I never got into or played myself:
Resident Evil (Code Veronica doesn't count because I only stood there for a few seconds before I chickened out and turned it off. LOL)
Monster Hunter
Okami
Dino Crisis
Onimusha
To tell the truth, I'm getting interested in Pragmata. But I'm not going to be buying any newer games or the newest console generation. So unfortunately, it looks like I won't get to play Pragmata myself.
(I've actually gotten out of regular gaming, so much so, that I've moved all my videogames to a less accessible shelf. Which is why the above photo has adapted media based on videogames, instead of my actual videogame collection. lol)

2:03 PM 6/25/2026 Monster Hunter Stories 3??????? I thought the Monster Hunter spinoff games were called Monster Hunter World? Does Monster Hunter have TWO spinoff series????
I could never really feel very good about Monster Hunter, because I like dragons, and it seemed like the game was essentially about slaughtering dragons and using their body parts for armor. So I was glad to see Monster Hunter World was more like Pokémon, making friends with the monsters, or something.
.
2:07 PM 6/25/2026 "Don't move, Claire Redfield."
"That's what we did with Claire, right?" I turned to my brother. "We were both too chicken to make her move." LOL Only our little sister was able to play Resident Evil Code Veronica. Both of us older siblings were too chicken and just turned off the console after a few seconds. LOL
.
2:30 PM 6/25/2026 I can just hear Yasmine pronounced as "yazMEEN". lol I appreciate other YouTubers pointing out that the Philippine Eagle can look like Yasmine's spikey hair, but that it also likes to smooth out its feathers, making it look like when Yasmine has her hair down. . I keep forgetting that the Street Fighter live action movie is coming out this October. I'm actually really surprised that people love how cheesy it is. When it was first announced, I was surprised it was going for "intentionally cheesy". I guess they're aiming for "so bad, it's good"? Need to remember EVO is this week(?). . Just when I was kind of hoping that the new Onimusha isn't replicating real life actors' likenesses, so that they have no problems about rereleasing Onimusha games, from the weird licensing problems that come from using a real life person's likeness…Capcom announces they are able to rerelease their older Onimusha games. Guess I was worried about nothing.

Walk in Japan | BRAND NEW Capcom Store Tour by Genki Gamer
I want to go at a wall of those round plushies and pick up Date Masamune, Sanada Yukimura, maybe Katakura Kojuro, Dante, Lady, maybe Vergil and Nero, Mega Man, Proto Man, Rush, maybe get some Resident Evil and Street Fighter,... <3
Just realized that, even though we've had several pop up shops in Los Angeles, from Square Enix and Sega, I don't remember us ever having a Capcom pop up shop.
I never really buy anything at the Square Enix and Sega pop up shops. I mean, I like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Persona 5, but usually not enough to buy the extra expensive merch at the pop up shops. Or rather, I already have my extra expensive Square Enix and Sega merch. I already bought all the Kingdom Hearts Nendoroids, almost all the Persona 5 Nendoroids, and a bunch of Play Arts Final Fantasy figures. There usually isn't anything more to entice me at the pop up shops.
But if CAPCOM opened a pop up shop in LA......! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I could see myself buying so much merch!
I mean, Sengoku Basara only had 2 Nendoroids, and yes, I already bought them. But that also means there's so much other merch from them that I haven't gotten yet, and would be interested in.
Mega Man is an old favorite of mine. Yes, I bought his Nendoroid too. But he's soooooo toyetic! So much Mega Man themed stuff would be cool to buy! I love Rush, I love Proto Man, and the Serve Bots are so cute.
Of course I love Devil May Cry. But why was there only 1 Nendoroid so far? And it was older Dante. Personally, I prefer younger Dante. Anywhere between DMC3, DMC4, Marvel vs Capcom 3, or even the Madhouse anime. And I would LOVE some Lady merch!
Speaking of the Vs Series, I still have a lot of nostalgia for for anything from Marvel Vs Capcom 2-3 and Capcom Vs SNK 2001.
And Darkstalkers would make so much good merch. Morrigan already is graphically very interesting and looks good on all her merch. But I love Jon Talbain/Gallon, Felicia, and Hsien Ko and Mei Ling. All the character designs from Darkstalkers are so visually fun. They'd make such good merch.
Funnily enough, though Rival Schools is still my favorite videogame overall, and not just from Capcom, I am not in desperate need for Rival Schools / Justice Gakuen merch. I bought my Akira figurine years ago. But most of the other characters are just school children in uniforms. It's not extremely interesting for merch. But I should get something for my main and his school: Batsu, Taiyo High. I also used to play a little of Zaki From Project Justice, so I could maybe buy merch for her too. And more Akira merch is always cool.
Or course, I have a lot of memories tied up with Street Fighter. It was my first anime, as well as at the center of that entire era of fighting games that I got caught up in too. I may not have stayed up to date with all the changes throughout Street Fighter's history, but there are so many cool characters now. I would love merch for newer characters like Yasmine, as well as old favorites like Sakura, Chun-li, and Ryu.
And even though I'm too scared to play Resident Evil, I do love watching other people play it. (I literally played only a few seconds of Code Veronica, before I chickened out and turned off the game. lol) I actually am hoping for Nendoroids for Grace Ashcroft and the RE9 version of Leon. I'd love Grace and RE9 Leon merch. And I'd get Claire Redfield merch for my sister. Because I was too chicken for Code Veronica, she played it instead, and I backseated for her, with a strategy guide in hand. But also, there are so many characters in the Resident Evil series who are just cool. Like Ada and Jill. And after RE8, even Chris is growing on me. I actually kind of want merch of that newer artwork of the Resident Evil characters, sitting in chairs, with art nouveau-looking backgrounds. I think the artwork was made specifically for the Resident Evil 30th anniversary. Also, I really like body horror creature designs. <3 So yes, I want RE merch now.
And even though I've still yet to even watch a full playthrough of Pragmata, it is insanely endearing. I already cried, watching the cutscenes that I have watched. Diana and Hugh merch would be precious. Maybe even with Diana's child/crayon styled drawings.
I would buy so many things from a Capcom pop up shop. I hope Capcom has one in LA sometime in the future.
