I’ll go ahead and say it—I am a fan of The Pitt, and I LOVE seeing fanfiction and fanart of Mel King and Frank Langdon.

But do I ship it? Honestly, not sure. So why do I love it so much?

I look uncannily similar to Mel (seriously, I have had at least five different people in my personal and professional life independently tell me that I look like her). And for as long as I’ve been old enough to seriously consider romance, people have explicitly or implicitly told me that my appearance—my mousy hair, my glasses, my round face—were childish, were undesirable (note: TAYLOR DEARDEN IS STUNNING I am not throwing shade). I’ve had people laugh at the thought of someone asking me out, I’ve had men flirt with me as a joke, I’ve been infantilized and told I have a baby face, that they couldn’t imagine me dating anyone.
