Melin's found that on stiflingly hot days, there's nothing better than staying underwater for hours at a time, as long as she's got someone to wave off worried passers-by.

mixing it up by just barely missing the deadline on this one. i shall continue to do weird things with the deadline. what if i do the next one RIGHT NOW!? no, i'm actually really tired, so i'm not going to do that.

testing out the speech bubbles @bluberryffxiv (who I just realized I wasn't following yet? what the heck) ripped from the game and kindly posted for everyone's use by trying to recreate a scene from Moments Before, one of my fics. specifically, this segment:

(some of the sentences are changed to make them flow better or fit in speech bubbles.)

I was going to try and recreate the rest of the scene, and I still might later on, but I forgot there was maintenance tonight and got kicked in the middle of gposing. Sigh.

i also edited the speech bubbles a bit to remove the indicators on top of them (though in this comic i only used the first and third kinds). here's my edited versions, plus one other thing:

That tiny square in the middle is my attempt at making that sort of "bridge" between speech bubbles you sometimes see in comics (which I couldn't find a proper name for, but I'm sure there is one). I tried to use it, but didn't end up liking how it looked, even with a bunch of erasing to make it look smoother. But that's a matter of personal taste.

Turns out she wasn't bragging when she said she could lift any of the Scions. Thancred really shouldn't have bet her she couldn't.
