How to Prepare for a Virtual Interview
Medical School Interview Tips
Tales from the Trail (Part 3)
I have admittedly had a couple of successes during this admissions cycle. But oh my, I can be a nincompoop. (Bonus point for whoever can figure out why I used that particular word ;)
Interview Incident A:
[interviewer asks some question that LuckyStars actually has a decent answer to]
[LuckyStars talks for a while on some subject]
LuckyStars: [completely loses train of though] Wait, what was the question again???
I blame the anxiety
Oh, and full disclosure...that happened more than once.
Interview Incident B:
Before I dive into incident B, there is something that you should know about me. I'm not musically inclined in the slightest. I hardly even listen to music. It's not that I never enjoy listening to it, but it tends to go in one ear and out the other so to speak. And the music I do tolerate like...well lets just say it isn't so popular amongst youngsters nowadays.
Interviewer: So, what type of music do you like?
LuckyStars: I was born in the wrong music era [hesitates]. I'm a fan of Meatloaf.
I mean, who actually says that in an INTERVIEW?
But I can't complain too much because despite my apparent shortcomings, I still managed to convince a couple people to let me in. So to all of you socially awkward nervous people out there, just know that you apparently don't have to be perfect.
Oh, one last thing. If asked whether you enjoy reading, I believe "yes" is the correct answer.
