Tomorrow it’s suppose to rain and Thunderstorm when I go to my Coloring Meditation class and all I can say is THE POWER I WILL FEEL WILL BE INCREDIBLE!
A lecture and meditation for anyone to attend on Saturday, September 14th at 1 PM CT. Beginners welcome!
Lecture Topic: Imagine Your True Self
We perceive with more senses that mere sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Rather than exclusively depend upon empirical data, it is possible to explore, with psychological senses, the roots and origins of numerous internal states. While openly denigrated by modern society, the faculty of imagination is actually the means by which to investigate non-physical or metaphysical phenomena such as thoughts, feelings, and desires. Through understanding five forms of imagination, it becomes possible to distinguish reality from illusion, the truth of cosmic being from the clever machinations our own mind. Learn also practical techniques to develop positive forms of imagination for the awakening and liberation of self.

Hi dears!
I don’t think I’m going to do Free Readings today. I know I said I would, but the meditation class from yesterday took a lot out of me and I need to recharge today.
I sincerely apologize!

Cortisol Belly: Why Your Stomach Won't Shrink No Matter How Little You Eat (And the 60-Day Fix)
You've cut the rice. You've skipped dinner. You walk every morning. And still — that lower belly sits there like it pays rent. It is one of the most frustrating experiences in the world of personal health: feeling as though you are doing everything right on your plate, yet watching your midsection hold onto stubborn layers with absolute persistence. If this sounds like your daily reality, you are not failing your diet. Your diet might be failing to address the actual culprit: chronic stress and the hormone called cortisol.
The physiological connection between emotional stress and abdominal fat storage is well-documented but often ignored in popular fitness messaging. When the body perceives a threat—whether it is a looming work deadline, financial pressure, or marital conflict—it releases cortisol, a glucocorticoid hormone produced by the adrenal glands. Cortisol's primary job is to mobilize energy for quick survival. However, in our modern world, stress is rarely short-lived, leading to chronically elevated hormone levels that shift the body into survival storage mode.
What 'Cortisol Belly' Really Is
Unlike subcutaneous fat distributed evenly across the limbs, cortisol-driven fat accumulates primarily around the viscera—the deep abdominal organs. Visceral fat cells have up to four times more cortisol receptors than subcutaneous fat cells. When cortisol remains constantly high, it encourages the enzyme lipoprotein lipase to store circulating triglycerides specifically within the abdominal region. This results in what is colloquially known as a 'cortisol belly'—a soft, round, often prominent lower abdomen that feels resistant to standard calorie restriction.
Furthermore, cortisol directly blocks the actions of insulin over time, promoting insulin resistance. When cells become deaf to insulin, excess glucose circulates in the bloodstream instead of being taken up for energy. The liver is forced to convert this circulating sugar into fat, parking it right in the abdomen. Seeking to shrink this area by eating less and exercising harder often backfires, as extreme calorie restriction and exhaustive cardiovascular workouts are perceived by the brain as additional biological stressors, driving cortisol levels even higher.
Why Eating Less Doesn't Fix Chronic Adrenal Stress
When you reduce your food intake too drastically, your nervous system interprets this as a famine. The hypothalamus signals the adrenals to make more cortisol to keep blood sugar elevated. This is why classic starvation diets fail to shrink visceral fat; they actually compound the root stressor. To reverse this cycle, we must transition the body from a status of survival or 'fight-or-flight' into a status of safety, rest, and renewal (known as the parasympathetic state).
From a Vedic perspective, this aligns with balancing our 'Prana' and optimizing daily natural rhythms. Through our specialized personalized weight-loss program, we help you match your daily actions to the solar cycle, reassuring the biological master clock that resources are abundant, safety is established, and there is no need to store survival reserves.
The 60-Day Restorative Fix
A sustainable natural reset does not happen overnight. In addition to our targeted wellness programs, practicing guided meditation for better sleep can significantly calm nightly adrenaline, supporting healthy, natural weight balance. Here are the core pillars of the 60-day fix:
Establish Restorative Daily Sleep: Aim to sleep by 10:00 PM. The hours between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM are when the liver and metabolic systems perform vital cellular repair. Keeping late hours directly spikes early-morning cortisol.
Introduce Parasympathetic Breathwork: Dedicate 10 minutes every morning to Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) or slow, extended-exhale breathing (Pranayama). This activates the vagus nerve and tells the adrenals to stop pumping stress hormones.
Nourish, Don't Starve: Focus on warm, cooked, easy-to-digest whole foods that match your unique constitution. Avoid skipping meals, and eliminate extreme fasting or calorie-crashing regimens which aggravate the nervous system.
Substitute Exhaustion with Flow: Swap intense high-impact cardio for restorative yoga, joint mobility sequences, and gentle outdoor walking. Keep physical exertion supportive, not depleting.
A Gentle Health Reminder
