It was a wonderful Saturday night with our kids sitting by the fire pit and sipping on sweet woodruff laced May wine. I make it the same way that my father did with lemon balm, sliced strawberries , raw honey, Riesling and sweet woodruff and Sauternes . You simply slice the strawberries, add the other ingredients and let it all steep together for an hour or two. It was a simple and wonderful evening, nice and breezy and Watching my son pick the Riesling soaked strawberries out of the pitcher brought back so many sweet memories.
