summary:

“Hydra have been active recently.” And that got Max's attention. “We've been tracking their movements and we fear they’re attempting to activate the Winter Soldier.” As Nico spoke a few faces scrolled past the screen; current, known directors in the Hydra organization– senators, city councilmen, business owners. The slideshow ended with a photo of a man with short wiry curls and the second half of his face obscured. He was mostly turned away from the camera but Max would recognize his profile anywhere.

“Daniel.” Max breathed.

"Max Verstappen!," the guy with the freakishly tall limps shrieked, hand clutching his chest like an old lady suffering a heart attack. "You didn’t tell me you were stuck in a restroom with Max Verstappen!," he said accusingly, poking a finger into Daniel’s chest, who just replied with an: "Oops?"

Summary: Max had always loathed being the centre of attention. Despite the perks of being the offspring of a former Formula One driver, the golden child, and the current championship winner, he simply despised any form of spotlight. So what happens when he meets famous super model/ actor Daniel Ricciardo? People rotate around him like he is the sun, his smile might be as bright as the sun and Max can’t handle the brightness.

Honey (you got it all) - 3,249 words

For the second time this year, Daniel stares at the picture on his phone, a photo of Max’s nest staring back at him, full of pillows and more than one hoodie the brunette thought he had lost years ago layered in there. The text is just a standard ‘Wanna hang out?’ from Max, and he wouldn’t have thought twice about declining after the tiring day he just had, but when he looks at his own bed, sad and cold and empty, his body just physically cringes at the idea of sleeping in it. Or: 5 times Max sent a picture of his nest to entice Daniel + 1 time he doesn't need to.

The first time Daniel steps in the crop field, Max is giving him a tour. As soon as the blond walks among the various vegetables, careful to not squish anything, a chorus of excited squeals rise up, making the younger chuckle fondly and pick up an old and rusty watering can. Daniel just blinks, chalking it up to the heat, or yesterday's exhaustion bleeding through, or something, anything to avoid thinking about the way the pumpkin vines wrapped themselves around Max's arms as he praised them for growing. It had to be a hallucination, or a trick of the light. Yeah, definitely something like that. Or: Max, Daniel, and the numerous scentient plants on their farm.

(This Could Be) Anywhere In The World - 3,635 words

“I- I’m Max… Nice to meet you. I don’t really know why I’m here, either… And, uh, I think you’re a great influencer, actually. Really, um, really like your work, yeah.” Daniel’s smile widens even more, somehow, perfect pearly whites fully on display, eyes crinkling adorably, and he wraps an arm around Max’s shoulder, chuckling. “Well, Maximus,” He says after a moment, tone teasing but his smile earnest, pulling a startled laugh out of Max. “I think you and I will get along just fine.” Or: Max, a small streamer, meets his idol Daniel, a famous travel vlogger, at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.

Where Daniel and Max are ice skaters, dancers, and rivals (with a maximum age gap of 4 years). They are both very talented individually, with Daniel representing Australia and Max representing the Netherlands. However, during a competition, Daniel and Max are forced to pair up. Together, they are like Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Daniel is like Tessa Virtue, and Max is like Alexandra Trusova, but together, they perform like Tessa and Scott.

What is Maxiel Fest?

Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo have never succeeded in being normal about each other and now it is time to celebrate their permanent heart eyes with a festival of all things Maxiel.

"I am going to kill him," he mutters, clenching his teeth. Another spike of pain rushes through his core, and he has to fight not to double over. He downs the drink he’s been carefully nursing and tells the bartender to put it on Lando's tab. No way in hell he’s paying money for this right now.

"Who are you going to kill?"

"Daniel, of course!" Max nearly growls before a high-pitched whine escapes his throat, and his eyebrows furrow in concentration, after clapping his hands over his mouth.

Summary: Max gets an unexpected heat, he can’t find his mate and seriously, why does this stuff always happen to him?
