Max Is Back !!! work from Anywhere ••• don’t let a few states in between you keep you from working together. Yay! Divide & Conquer. #MaxAInternship #InternshipWithDebbi #Day3 How about those shoes! His shoes, not mine. Max got the memo #itsallabouttheshoes ... like real estate, & fashion + many other aspects in life we learn on the job or how I define it, we learn through osmosis. People want to be successful but they don't want to show up or be present. Real Estate like many other jobs or aspects in life one needs to show up, engage and be present. So much happens when you're in the room. The first thing I teach our agents is to sit yourself down in the office. Ideally near Adam. Adam (our Broker) takes calls throughout the day. Whether for his own deals or helping, guiding or offering advice & support to one of his agents. At the same time listening in on other agents conversations you can learn by hearing how each agent speaks to their client, what they say and how they say it. There is no school around that can prepare one for the things that come up in real estate. Real Estate is people and situations, emotions and paperwork. The homes we sell are simply the medium or vehicle. But the people, their circumstances, their emotions, financing and inspections, legality and therapy, advertising and oftentimes my favorite.... the challenge of forcing circles into squares. It's not always perfect or one way. Road blocks come up. People change their mind. Feelings are hurt. Everyone doesn't always get what they want, no matter how we try. If you think you're coming into real estate b/c you love homes, think twice. You might just want to continue visiting Sunday Open Houses and order a bunch of home magazines to quench your desire. Real Estate never sleeps. Until the market crashes. There are hectic times and slower periods. But if you don't like taking your work on vacation, try something else. People (your clients) the clients we serve don't stop having emotions, people don't hold off dying, divorcing, or have an urgency to get their child into school, stop their relocation process, or the like, because your're on vacation. Real Estate never sleeps. And I love that about it, both being busy and helping others. It has never been about houses for me. #realestate #story #realtor #maxainternship #internshipwithdebbi (at Highland Partners)
