The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This massive tomb was built by Artemisia after her husband Mausolus died between 353 and 350 BC. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus was 63 ft north and south, shorter on other fronts, 125 meters (411 ft) perimeter, and 25 cubits (11.4 meters or 37.5 feet) in height. It was surrounded by 36 columns. The mausoleum at Halicarnassus was destroyed by successive earthquakes from the 12th to the 15th century.
