Ayres for the Violin, Book 4: Ayres in C Major: V. Diverse bizzarie sopra la vecchia Sarabanda o pur Ciaccona
New Jersey singer-songwriter Matteis released his EP Singing In A Broken Key earlier this year. My favorite track from the EP is a soulful little piece titled “Can’t Leave You Behind”. It’s minimal in its musical composition with just an acoustic guitar, some xylophones, and Matteis’ smooth voice. It’s a little repetitive but honestly, I really like the guitar composition because it has a bit of pizazz to the arpeggio-like arrangement. The lyrics seem like they could be part of a John Legend song. A pretty solid track in general.
