We're back on the rails for a trip along the Yosan line, Shikoku's main route between Takamatsu and Matsuyama cities. As if the similar names of the termini weren't enough, they should have called it the Takamatsuyama line for extra confusion! Anyway, grab some sanuki udon to fuel up, and we'll be off. I've already posted about the most interesting trains that run on the line, so we'll be focusing on looking through the window, making a few stops for some interesting things near the stations.

Marugame Udon x Crosstown.

[The] world-famous Japanese noodle restaurant chain [...] officially opened its very first location in Canada, alongside a thousand other outlets worldwide, last week after a wildy successful initial run—already among the top 5% of all Marugame shops—starting in late February.

Marugame Udon, the largest Udon Noodles chain in the world recently opened a new (8th) location in Waterloo Station, London! To help celebrate, Marugame Udon gave away 100 Tamagotchi Original’s to the first 100 guests that were queued up to enter the restaurant on opening day, January 12th, 2023. Tamagotchi and stay out int he cold, waited in queue in hopes to get their hands on a free Tamagotchi, and a delicious bowl of udon noodles!

The first 100 guests that got their hands on the Tamagotchi Original, and one of the newer shells too we may add, would earn additional prizes based on how they cared for their Tamagotchi. How awesome is this?

The official Tamagotchi UK account posted a video of the rather impressive line! These guests had to keep their Tamagotchi’s alive in exchange for a delicious prize! If they kept their Tamagotchi alive for 7 days, they would earn a free breakfast Udon, and for 28 days, they would get free udon for a year!
