“And he promised her with an oath, ‘Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.’ She went out and said to her mother, ‘What shall I ask for?’ 

‘The head of John the Baptist,’ she answered. 

At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: ‘I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.’ 

The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 

On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb. 

The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, ‘Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.’ ” 

biker kaworu au!!!! i will type it all here bc ive been thinking about this since saturday

okay so in this au almost everything is the same, but kaworu has a sick bike themed after mark 6. misato is still like "who is this tiny twink bitch" and kaworu is still like ";))) ily shinji-kun" but they get to spend more time together, and hang out for like a week or two. when nerv finds out he's an angel and he takes eva 02 down below to lilith, shinji is more heartbroken then ever about kaworu being an angel and he still kills him on nerv orders. misato gives shinji kaworus' biker gear and his keys to try and cheer him up, and shinji keeps them in his room.
