Women in Mahabharata - Marisha
According to some sources, she is a Naga woman married to Shurasena, and is the mother of Pritha-Kunti, Aanakadundubhi-Vasudeva [and other brothers], Shrutashrava, Shrutadevi, Shrutakeerti, Prithukeerti and Rajadhidevi. Not much else is known about her.
Pritha-Kunti however seems to hold some grudge against her, given she never intervened when Shurasena gave Kunti up in adoption as a young preteen to Kuntibhoja, one of his relatives.
She is the paternal grandmother of Balarama, Krishna and Subhadra, and the maternal grandmother of Yudhishthira, Bheema and Arjuna.
