Oooooh. Uuuuuuum. I thiiiiink... maybe....
War and conflict made children into adults, adults into the disillusioned and broken, and soldiers into cracked and crumbling statues long forgotten as they stood vigil over the memorials of the fallen.
Kentworth and Shepard both knew every day would be a struggle, every memory would have a melancholy twinge, and every action would have a phantom regret and second thought accompany it. But they also both knew that every day was worth living, every memory was worth having, and that every action was one step closer to recovery, to peace of mind, and to that happy, stable future Shepard was deserving of.
Shepard knew this, he believed it, and he embraced it.
This is basically the ‘message’ I wanted to portray in Soldier’s Heart in one compact little summary at the end of the story. The start of Soldier’s Heart had Shepard at his lowest, and at the end he’d on that road to recovery-- he believes things can and will get better. And that was the entire point of the story-- that it will get better. You just gotta hold out hope. So I hope I did a good job of it.

Honestly I have no clue. How about this snippet from Downtown Eastside
“I’m pretty sure that’s blood.”
“Nuh-uh—that’s just bloody piss.”
“Grunt, Wrex—if you’re done discussing the stains on my floor, I would like to begin the meeting,” Aria said loudly.
It’s so delightfully Wrex and Grunt I feel, and I just like it. It’s not inspiring nor unique but whatever I like it lol
