Plan progression
I know that Daisy has been through a lot of shit last season and after losing so many people the loss of Coulson was almost too much. I know Jemma was right and she was avoiding the issue and Sarge was a good target to take it on - not quite real, not quite mortal, plenty of guilty. But she still shouldâve known May is always right. You shouldâve listen to Mom. Especially about Coulson.
I liked that FitzSimmons are now three. Deke is annoying but he got their smarts and now that this version of Bobo actually likes him and uses positive reinforcement they all work pretty well together. Grandparents are proud of you.
I liked how Elena managed to warn Benson. And then she and Mack managed to set him free. Still, going against Izel just means corpses. Even if some are made-up ones.
Can Izel somehow force what other people create from their memories and what those creations are like? Thomas was so convenient to her needs and his memories did exactly what she needed - made Benson feel guilty. Is that speech just make them both suddenly think of Flint that bad? Of all the things they could think of and materialise I wouldnât think heâd be the first. How much control over this she has?
Also how Izel lost the Monoliths the first time? How Incas knew what they were and who she was and about Pachakutiq for centuries but she had no idea about Earth until recently?
What I really donât understand is why all the Shrike controlled host are even necessary. Why canât the Creation Monolith make bodies for all the  Izelâs people? I know the creations turn to dust after being killed but  they can also last centuries and become unbreakable when Izelâs people are in them - like Sargeâs case. They should work great for them. Wouldnât they be better off with bodies of their own  making - ones they actually like?
They could just get their own planet  or two and wouldnât face as much resistance. They wouldnât have to be  sent back and sealed. If they didnât try to steal other people lives the  whole thing would meet so much less resistance.  I know they are from  demon realm and all but are they really that much worse than Kree?  Â
Her Most Painful Memory
After finally standing face-to-face with this new Coulson, Melinda comes back to the Lighthouse to reflect on what it means to see the love of her life again and to hear an apology and some advice.
(also on Ao3)
Melinda was sitting in her bunk in the Lighthouse staring at the wall in front of her. That man⌠it had been Coulson. Coulson back again, solid, alive.
But it wasnât her Phil.
This other Coulson had stared at her for a moment when she said his name, but then sheâd fallen away from him, and heâd locked her back in the vault.
A Coulson had done that. Not her Phil.
