If they're a fallen star, was there a time when they were just a star? His name is Aaravos. And yes, he was a star. A Startouch Elf, one of the Great Ones.

like this really is one of The most important scenes/lines in all of TDP. like, top 10 at least, if not top 5
"i can feel the pain boil inside you" -> "because pain and loss feel so terrible inside" -> "i see now that you carry that pain inside you" -> "planted seeds of darkness" + "a corrupted emptiness inside you" vs "there's nothing inside me" and "i'm inside sky magic, and it's also in me" and "so if you want to punish me, i can't stop you, but i don't think it'll bring you peace. only more pain" bc "as you take your enemy down, you're being poisoned yourself"
Do you know where the Great Orb of the Sunforge came from?Legends say it was a gift from the Sun herself. The gift of a millennium. It was a gift. But there's more to it than that. The Great Orb began as this. This is... a Sun Seed?
Anyway, I'm willing to bet that the sun seed was a gift from Sol Regem's mother (previous Dragon Queen) which is part of why to Karim him giving it for Sol Regem (her son's) usage is just the course of history taking its natural path. + Bonus Karim not knowing the Sun Seed started as something small and relatively powerless (something they had to Grow and be patient for) > it being immediately powerful and transformative the way he thought (and inherently craves)

Few things about Karen Callum section:
Feels like one of the more prominent returns of how Callum's temper operated in arc 1, which is fun
Questions concerning Celestial elf culture, such as if "the fates" are seen as separate entities than the Startouch elves and, either way, how many
Return of path motif
Callum will get snarky and demand an apology if it matters to him. Reaffirms that it did not with Rayla, ultimately (and arguably never has)
Rayla being more willing to go with the flow + her prioritization of Stella whereas Callum cares for the little cuddlemonkey but not in the same way
I think this line of Viren being "so certain" is really important for Claudia, not just in response to her increasing uncertainty even into S7 — "Is it worth it?" — but also in articulating her as someone who Craves Certainty. This is, in many ways, what dark magic offers her: a way to fix problems, a way to know things will 'work out', reliable and accessible and powerful in ways that primal magic is not. It also speaks to why she routinely looks to other people (her mother, her father, Terry, Aaravos) to tell her what to do so she can feel certain in it, rather than making the choices herself by herself ("I had to complete the resurrection spell alone"). She's drawn to certainty in others, hence why the main time she expresses interest in Callum is when he's confident (2x02) and less so when he's not (as while not uncertain, Callum is a decently neurotic person) and one of the reasons why Terry is attractive to her, because he's deeply certain ("but I knew, I always knew, that I was a buck" + "You don't have to do this" + "he said he would always love me, no matter what") in everything he does. And so is Ezran but shhhh
Will be slotting this into a bigger meta at one point but I love how we immediately start picking apart the prophecy, even when we don't really know what it is yet.
"The Warrior and the Mage shall pierce the heart of the beast and melt the threat forever. The Chosen Two will reclaim the heavens and in return, the heavens will adorn them."
We, thanks to the Celestial elves, likewise assume that 1) the warrior and the mage have to show up together and 2) that the adornment of the heavens are, well, the Corona of the Heavens. However, given the Silver Queen teaser gives us the alternative interpretation that Claudia is The Mage and Rayla is The Warrior, who arrive and melt Esmeray's heart separately, it opens the prophecy arguably wholly back up: the reclamation of the heavens is still on the table, what the adornment may be is unknown (though it could be Magic), and the beast may not refer to Esmeray at all (but perhaps Aaravos). Just something to think about
