Steak Frites Yeah
In Belgium, steak-frites is practically one word. Serve with a copious amount of fries and wash down a fresh pint of craft beer or a nice Malbec or Barbaresco (made with the Nebbiolo grape) is de rigeur. A dash of garlic butter would be an excellent touch. A simple salad is a healthy addition.
Choose meat that is nicely marbled, or if needing something leaner, a filet mignon. An ideal steak is small and plump with a thin layer of fat around the edges. Anything prime is the best, although choice would be my 2nd choice.
