There is an Spindlehorse situation where people still call them indie despite Hazbin Hotel being co produced by Amazon. Now people are calling Glitch not indie anymore because their shows are on Netflix and Amazon and they are growing bigger by getting famous creators like Dana Terrace and RubberRoss.

To me, it is a indie breakout success story, not fully indie. Yeah, The Amazing Digital Circus is still indie because. But now, it doesn’t feel like that anymore.

Thanks to TADC, they are viewed as an pioneer in indie animation. Even shows like the Other Side by AnimatedMau want to be picked up by Glitch.

There is an video on Youtube that calls Spindlehorse for having a monopoly on indie animation while praising Glitch for fighting against it by making shows that are good. But my dude😕. A monopoly is a business that sells its products with no competition in the field. Glitch is picking up shows like Lackadaisy and from what I heard Port by the Sea too. Spindlehorse only has 2 shows so far and a pilot that may or may not be a full show in the future.
