These mini maple bacon donuts are a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors. Perfect for breakfast or as a tasty snack.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup milk. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1 large egg. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 4 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Fold in the crumbled bacon. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350F 175C. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil using a mini donut maker or a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mini donuts are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. While the donuts are still warm, drizzle with additional maple syrup and sprinkle with more crumbled bacon for extra flavor. Serve your mini maple bacon donuts warm and enjoy!
