Okay, I've loved Maphra since I've discovered her, but this? This actually made me tear up, it's so beautiful. The emotion she brings to this song is stunning. What an artist.
This bring me the horizon cover is blowing the fuck up and it's so deserved. Maphra is an astounding vocalist, her flexibilty between harsh and clean vocals is phenomenal.
I think that if you are a person who doesn't typically like harsh or growling vocals in music, you might enjoy this.
She has a really deft touch in adding grit to her voice but it isn't overwhelming.
(Again I am a death metal fan I am so far from objective about understanding how much harsh people can tolerate lmao BUT STILL!!!)
Anyway, Maphra! She's only got six songs on youtube and they are all covers and they are all great. I'm really excited for her to do original stuff.
