MAIOs
Hi! I've just started an MAOI and there are a ton of dietary restrictions that go with it. Having to check everything and order special food at restaurants is kind of a bummer. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with MAOIs and had any tips? If not, maybe could you just post this and see if any followers have anything to say? Thanks, you're all awesome!!
Hi lovely,
While I haven't been on MAOIs personally, I have been through dietaryrestrictions as I experience nausea and pains in my sides with eating and Ihave many friends with intolerances such as gluten or lactose intolerance.
Something that I always find helpful for me is knowing where I'm goingin advance, for most places you can find a menu online and have a read throughwhat they offer and figure out what things you're able to eat. Another thingthat you can do with restaurants is to call ahead, if you know you're goingsomewhere you can give them a quick phone call to ask about anything you needto know and if there is anything you can eat. I know plenty of people who gofor meals out with friends and just have chips, it's a way of going would withpeople and still having a good time while being safe with your food.
Another thing to remember is that with time you will get used to knowingwhat you can and can't have and you will become aware of particular dishes youneed to avoid as well as ones that you know are safe. When a restriction isfirst put in place you realise how much you have a certain food, for exampletomatoes are particularly bad for me and then I realised how often I would haveit, it was in sandwiches, salads, pasta sauces, ketchup, just everywhere! Butyou learn to adapt and now I don't notice it so much because I've become use tonot having tomatoes, it started as a big change but now it's just secondnature!
I also think that it would be good for you to keep a list of foods youcan't eat and foods you can eat, this way you can keep it on you and if you'reever stuck or forget a food you have a list to refer to!
I hope that this is of some help to you lovely, I'm sorry that you haveto go through these dietary restrictions, I know it's so hard.
If anyone else has any tips please do send them in!
Lots of love and cuddles,
Paige <3

Flash: This is going to sound like a strange sentence, but the cult I used to live in had a theme park in Kyushu that was one of the only places on earth that had the right to reproduce full-size replicas of the Easter Island head statues...
