One of many days that seems to have multiple holidays and celebrations at once. Happy Summer Solstice, Father's Day and most importantly the Happy Anniversary to one of the most underrated Disney animated films. Based on the classic tragedy of Victor Hugo that's been adapted many times before and after Disney's film.
Plus, this picture is meant to also celebrate Romani culture, since that is one of the major parts of the story. Even if there are some inaccuracies and ignorance towards it, but then again that can be mostly said for most adaptations. The picture above was meant to be released around April 8th for International Romani Day. But due to work and classes, I had to push it back. That and I need to figure out how to reconnect my scanner from my printer to the laptop I use. But I do hope that I can get this ready by next year.
I was going to upload this on either FanFiction.net or ArchiveofOurOwn, but there are some complications to this. And my fanfic isn't quite finished yet. I have one more movie I want to look at, being the Charles Laughton version, to add to my fan-fic. Since it's not just a mix of the novel and Disney film, but a mish-mash of several adaptations. That and I'm still trying to figure out how to rework Gringoire's initiation into the Court of Miracles. And to do the battle at Notre Dame. But I do want to thank my good friend @wolpertingerantlers for being my consultant in helping me rework this story. Link is down below if you want to see what we've got so far.
