engineer has created a modder android because the ‘original’ modder died somehow and he can’t deal with it very well at all

and while he’s building her everyone else is kinda like “dude this isn’t a healthy way to deal with your grief, you know that right?” but he’s so determined to get her back

and when she’s finally actived he’s so overjoyed when he sees her blink and look at him but then she speaks

“Hello, Mr Conagher.”

and his face just drops

because from then on he starts to realise she’s not the same as his modder

she’s very careful with her work instead of taking as many risks as possible, she’s a lot more calm about everything instead of super excited and only says what’s in her program, and she’s just not... the same??

but he can’t shut her down because the android is still so much like her that it’d hurt too much
