been feeling incredibly unmotivated lately which is really strange for me.
anyways now typhoon mangkhut has passed, school has been cancelled for two days now, and my flat has stopped swaying and leaking, i finally found a little bit of energy to do some IB Geography notes on what is quite an easy chapter, ngl. but it is progress.Â
of course, shout out to @emmastudies for her amazing printables and downloads which helps to keep my life in check.Â
hope you guys can excuse the messy desk, i havent had energy to pack it up.
to all those affected by mangkhut, i hope you are all safe and dry, and wow was it a typhoon. freaked me out quite a bit here in hong kong.Â

Typhoon Mangkhut in Hong Kong
Posted 4:56pm GMT+8, 16 of September, 2018
This is the most recent update by the Hong Kong Observatory on Typhoon Mangkhut. It’s equivalent to a catergory five hurricane, and is currently bigger than Hurricane Florence. However, it’s slowly beginning to let off.
The typhoon ten signal (the highest typhoon signal) was issued at 9:40am, and the red rain signal (second highest of its kind) was also raised around 10:10am by the HKO. Neither alerts have been changed yet.
I live in a more remote area on one of the outlying islands. The fishing villages have flooded, and trees have fallen on main paths and my friends’ houses. One of my friends is trapped inside her house, as both a telephone pole and a fallen tree have cut off her exits. There will be a danger of venomous snakes and other dangerous animals for the next week at least.
In the main city, my uncle’s building is swaying dangerously, and everyone on the upper floors have migrated down to the bottom for safety. Glass windows on skyscrapers have torn off or shattered, bamboo scaffolds for construction are breaking apart, and the sea level rose up by almost 4 meters. Some MTR (underground train) stations and ferry terminals are completely flooded.
Luckily enough, the typhoon itself hasn’t done any damage to my house, although the winds are absolutely terrifying.

Please stay safe everyone.
At Pines hospital. Temp 100.4 F is all but that was AFTER I took vicodin. They are giving me antibiotics and a bunch of other meds and releasing me. I'm gonna be okay.

Dear all please pray for the Philippines. Ompong is a hell of a storm and despite the resiliency of the Filipinos, we are all scared. Please keep us in your prayers.
Prayers for Philippines, typhoon Mangkhut is about to make its landfall in a few hours. ðŸ˜
My Sunday’s been stressful - Hong Kong is hit by the monster typhoon Mangkhut, and parts of my home are damaged.
I need to work on a translation assignment but I haven’t been able to concentrate at all - the loudness of the gusts scare me and I’m worried about the windows and rooftop.
What’s worse, we still don’t have power supply and my laptop ran out of battery. I can’t continue the work, so I’m just anxiously pacing around at home. :(
