See the problem with the discourse that has happened in the wake of the most recent terror attack in Manhattan is that Islam IS dangerous, and not because of terror attacks like this, or even the more deadly and more frequent ones that occur in Europe, but rather because it's a hideously backwards ideology that subjugates women, executes LGBT's and apostates, and is just generally oppressive to everyone in the Middle East subject to an Islamic theocracy, but nobody cares because America's public is too busy debating with stupid, racist, ignorant rhetoric on the right, and stupid, intellectually dishonest apologetics on the left, and the American government is too busy fostering conflict in the Middle East, propping up dictators we like, taking down dictators we don't, and generally being incompetent fucktards who care more about financial ties via oil and arms dealing than making any sort of significant progress for human rights.
